Balloon Boy

Found Alive

... at Home

10/15/2009 7:09 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The kid who everyone thought was flying through the air in a homemade balloon was finally found -- hiding in a cardboard box in the attic of his home.

Balloon kid
Officials say Falcon Heene's parents were "hysterical" during the search -- but turns out he was just hiding the entire time.

Cops also tell TMZ they won't charge the Heene's for the manpower it took to chase their crazy UFO balloon that didn't have a kid stuck inside.

I think it was mommy & daddy who had their heads in the clouds or up their arses on this one.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer just made the dad mad by asking the dad to once again question the Balloon Boy Falcon why he said (earlier in the show) the reason he stayed in the attic was because it was for the show. I heard that comment and sent an email to CNN asking if anyone else heard it--apparently they did and that is why they re-asked the child, which which point the father got pissed.

I think the whole think was staged.

I think it was all for more time in the spot light. I would charge the family for the time and resources it took to look for the little s?%#. I guess being on wife swap twice wasnt enough for them.

I don't know about anyone else, but whenever something like this happens in my family, we alert the media immediately!

We wouldn't dream of doing it for priceless free publicity and notoriety and follow the trail of money.

Looks like the dad has been busted staging this hoax! The boy just said in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer that "You guys[meaning his parents] said that, hrm, we did this for a show." oopps.

well its not the kids fault, hes not the one who told everyone that he was in the balloon. he just untied it, it floated away, he panicked and hid. besides it was a great training opportunity for law enforcement, the national guard, the media. throw something out of the ordinary their way, and make them think about how to solve it, plus give great stories to tell. apparantly they should have searched the house more thoroughly. they always say with young missing kids, 9 times out of 10 they are hiding somewhere in the house. always search their first.

Where’s that big mouth blasphemer? Com’talking about prayers don’t work! The only time prayer didn’t work, is when we tried praying that his ass would go somewhere else to post his stinking ass comments, but actually, that’s just a matter of time. God is just being patient; like always.

Thank you Jesus for hearing our prayers! The boy is safe!

THE PARENTS SHOULD PAY THROUGH EH NOSE FOR THIS. THE GENERAL QUESTION THROUGH THE WHOLE EPISODE WAS WHERE ARE THE PARENTS? WHERE WERE THEY ANYWAY.

I have a different take on Falcon's statement. I have worked with young children extensively, and it's possible the boy didn't understand the question; his answer could have meant that his parents said they were doing it for "this show", meaning appearing on the Larry King show. His father could have answered the question, but turned to his son instead. If they were really trying to cover up something, the parents would have done all of the talking.

Wolf did a nice investigative coverup, i mean follow-up.

Charge Dad for the man hours used in the search.
