Oksana is due with the 53-year-old conservative Catholic's eighth child some time this fall.
Now to more serious stuff:
ATT: HARVEY LEVIN!
Ah, the travails of guttersnipe gossipmeisters! And, no doubt, inquiring minds want to know!
First of all, Levin is not a journalist, because none of that is "news." It's gossip.
Hey harvey, cover the celeb's news of which you are so adoring. Leave the more important conversation of real media matters to real thinking adults and not patsies like you.
Nothing like the self righteous bleating of a journalist to turn your stomach - and at breakfats time too.
You can just hear Levin - after climbing on a really high horse â losing the plot.
"It is a fight about the First Amendment, a fight about democracy," he added. "It's a fight about the freedom of the press... a fight about the abuse in law enforcement."
Yerk â pass the sick bag. He even suggests - childishly - that it is about revenge .
The police are trying to discover who is illegally, and almost certainly for money, passing information to a gossip columnist ( oh the irony - someone who dishes the dirt on others - invading their private lives each and every day â whining about their rights )
It is illegal to divulge information about people being arrested. No matter how much of a God-bothering, racist ignoramus Gibson might be - he is innocent until proven guilty and the details of his arrest are supposed to be confidential. Until of course it suits the press to publish statement which they have no way of verifying. The comments Gibson made were hearsay.
"That's illegal," was how Lucy Dalglish, executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press described the decision to reveal his phone records. "Most law enforcement agencies know it's illegal... or have a hard time getting a judge signing off on it."
You'd laugh if it wasn't so daft. How can a judge "sign off on it " (!!!) when it's illegal. Either something is illegal â or it is not illegal - there is no "OR" .
Terry Francke, an expert on media law, (what the hell is media law )? ) added that California's constitution is supposed to protect journalists from having to identify their sources.
"You can't have a government agency that is supposed to be monitored by the press investigating the press to find out where it has been getting its stories."
Err no Terry , my old expert. The police are not supposed to be montoring the press. Who gave the press the job of monitoring the police ?. they should do - I wish they would - but it's not a govenrment appointment Terry - back to the books ! The press have no interest in any story unless it is sensationalist - if this had not involved Mel Gibson - this guy would never have printed the story . Self righteous twaddle.
The constitution may protect journalist from divulging their sources - but it does not protect people from breaking the law - by trading in confidential police information. There was no overriding public interest here, just prurient gossip. The police are clealry looking for a mole.
"You can't have a government agency that is supposed to be monitored by the press investigating the press to find out where it has been getting its stories."
The 'press' seem to have given themselves constitutional powers, or have some fantasy that they do.
The 'press' is now a subdivision of the entertainment industry and has the job of selling newspapers and will do whatever it can to make newspapers (and advertising financed websites) get eyeballs.
It's a Mel Gibson story, so it sells. An apparent breach of the law was made in getting the details of this story so the police are investigating, as they should.
Have got this right? Someone who depends on gossip (= leaks) is annoyed because the police were trying to plug a leak and accessed his telephone records in order to make sure it doesn't happen again (or at least not until another A list celeb gets arrested). Clearly the Tinseltown "lifestyle" has addled Mr Levin's brain, what there is of it.
Personally, I think its an outrage for any information regarding alleged traffic violations to be made public until the accused is brought to trial. The media, as usual, believes it is the decider. Its mobocracy. Its disgusting. It should stop, even if it is entertaining. How many more lives will the media be allowed to ruin?
Levin and his ilk are parasites
"The Sheriff's Office was accused of giving Gibson special treatment in the July 28, 2006, arrest.
According to the district attorney's memo, two supervisors ordered Mee, the arresting officer, to rewrite his original report on the Gibson arrest to include "only the facts relating to the driving under the influence charge."
Mee removed the information describing Gibson's conduct in detail and put that information in a separate four-page report that was to be locked in a safe"
BTW Harvey, time for you to wake up and realise that G.W. Bush changed the laws concerning rigths of privacy, years ago and that the police is alowed to listen to your phone records and type your phone too and put your phone under surveillance which they migth also have done and still do.
AND you are not even entitled to know about it!
Anti terror package, and amendement on national security ya know!
Maybe you should have done something else all those years, than looking into celebs bed's sheets and instead campaign actively agaisnt all those infringement to the rigths of the american citizens!
Well, not too late to join ACLU, Harvey, I am sure they could use someone like you, that can scream loud, cause up to now, nobody has been listening to them, not even you!...
:))))
oh and btw, Obama didnt changed those either, nor have the intention to change those to how they were before Bush removed your rigths.
In fact, it looks like being the entire opposite.. Obama seems to agree very much with those kind of things.
So from being very glad and hopefull for obama, ACLU members have turned very very sour and :(
Welcome to the real world Harvey! :D
NEW 1ST AMENDEMENT HERO: HARVEY LEVIN
ONE Ã
PROBLEM: H EODESNT AGREE TO GIVE THE FREEODM OF EXPRRESSION OT OTHER THAN HIMSELF AND THOSE THAT AGREE WOIHT HIM.
LIKE MEL GIBSON RIGHT TO SAY WAHTEVER WHEN DRUNK
OH BTW YOUR FRIENDS AT LA TIME ARE WRITTING SOME PRETTY DIGUSTING STUFF, PRETENDING THAT MEL GIBSON ASSAULTED OFFICER MEE, AND THAT MG VERBALY ABUSED HIM BY INSULTING HIM.
WELL HE DIDNT.
TMZ.....old pictures reveal a much prettier Oksana. Her nose, check bones and a lot more are different. Why don't you do some serious investigations and tell us what she has had done...."just living in the same town as Mel"? She acts like she is some innocent kind of woman, just pursuing her music...but mostly she has been pursuing men, to pay the bills for her...all the while she lives in America. What is this woman really about? Why do you just keep showing pictures and fail to get into her past and her clearly obvious gold digging qualities. From what I have read...Oksana G. is clearly looking for her "daddy"....to support and promote her career. Too bad Mel chose now to do this...no one I know wants her music. If she had a chance in that area....it is not going too well.
@Demi, I agree with your comment - why doesn't TMZ look into Oksana's golddigging past, I would like to know more about her so called 5 month "marriage" to Nicolas Rowland (the result = british passport)and other men she used to get ahead - the woman has no morals!
Ya, and I want to more about her relationship with David Foster, when is ended, was she seeing Mel and David at the same time since she "recently" lived in a house owned by him etc. Come on TMZ we have faith in you, we know you can dig up th dirt.
Wonder what his nutcase father thinks of his cavorting. True wife, Robyn wasn't a Catholic and couldn't be saved from hell, but who knew it would start here on earth. Do they let illegitimate children into heaven, Mel? Inquiring minds want to know.
Omg.....it seems everyone has an opinion. That's our right. And there's not a race, religion or creed that has not suffered. At least he doesn't use a surgeon. We all grow old and our looks change. Beauty is only skin deep, ugly is clear to the bone. Take care all....
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
