Swine Flu Infiltrates TMZ

10/15/2009 3:38 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

E.I.E.I.Oh no! A TMZ employee is down with the swine, and we think there's a connection to a boy band and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Chad Weiser just called with the bad news. He's got the H1N1. And here's where the plot thickens. Chad works in the production of TMZ TV and handled the tapes we got of Brian Littrell and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, both swine flu survivors.

No one gets out of the office all day, so it's like a petri dish in here.

HELP!!!! And pass the Purell.

Is he growing a curly tail and a snout? Don't worry, pigs can't fly.

My 2yr. old was diagnosed with swine flu and she has no other symptoms than a high fever. No cough, runny nose, vomiting, nothing! They put her and the rest of us that live with her on Tamiflu as a precaution. Her fever is gone and she seems to be back to normal so I am hoping she just got a mild infection. They did say however they are seeing the same thing a lot right now and it is coming back after the fever and hitting hard! So if you experience any symptoms or fever get tested!!!

Relax, guys..I work in an outpatient clinic and we have had patients come in really sick in the last 2 weeks...coughing up crap, hacking, short of breath, one lady had a fever of 103, another tested positive for Flu A **and** B and none of us are sick. I guaranty you that we have been in closer contact with these sick people than you have been with your co-worker.
It's an HIV clinic and to be honest, we have not seen an overwhelming number of people who have tested positive for flu..if THEY are not getting it in HUGE numbers, people without underlying medical conditions will be fine.
I suggest loading up on Purell, clean the computer keyboards if you share them, perhaps lysol or wipe down any phones that are shared, washing off the table in the breakroom before you sit to eat (or where ever you eat at)... and lots of handwashing, etc...

Chad, get well, buddy! Drink lots and lots of liquids!

I've had 3 friends to get H1N1 and they were fine after about 4 days.

Wash your hands with soap and warm water as often as you can. forget the purel. Since swine is airborne, you are all likely going to get it. Oink Oink

Holy cow...you mean he got H1N1 just by handling tapes containing images of people who have had it? Cosmic.
