It's hard to imagine wanting an extra year of probation, but when you're Lindsay Lohan -- and facing possible jail time -- it's actually a good thing.

A judge today decided to extend Lindsay's probation another year so she can finish her alcohol education classes. Her lawyer, the effervescent Shawn Chapman Holley, told the judge Lindsay has been extremely busy and has only been able to complete about half her classes.

Specifically, Lindsay has completed 15 of 26 individual alcohol classes and 13 of 26 group alcohol classes and 13 of 28 self-help sessions. She completed all six education classes.

The prosecutor said if the court has to jump through hoops again to accommodate Lindsay, jail is the only answer.

All sides will be back in court for another progress hearing on December 15.

3. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. Lohan knows that she's not going to see the inside of a jail, regardless of what she does. She has the two necessary ingredients that will prevent that. She's White and she's an Actress(?). If she were Asian, Hispanic or Black it would NEVER had gotten this far. She'd be pulling down 5 years for contempt of court. Justice IS NOT BLIND in the United States of America. Justice sees us coming a mile away. And then it acts accordingly, based on your race and your race only. And Lohan knows this quite well. That's why she does the things she does. Good for you, White woman.

5. Another celebrity let off the hook by the justice system. If it was you or me, we would have been thrown in jail. Just goes to show you, celebrities think they are better than us and are above the law.

Sadly, instead of helping her, this will just allow her more rope to hang herself later. The courts are helping her delay a bottom.

8. Lindsays Lawyer says Lindsays been extremely busy and has only been able to complete half her classes. Extremely busy????? She's always photographed going in and out of clubs or running after her girlfriend Samantha!!!!! Seems like she has plenty of time on her hands. What a lame excuse. She will never learn if she continues to
get these "get out of jail free passes" Teach her a lesson and throw her in jail. Until then, she's got it made, she won't learn.

Yes, well, we all have lives, don't we? We should all be so lucky as to be able to use that lame a** excuse when it comes to court ordered ANYTHING.

I'm many people would love to be able to say, "uh, judge, I had to work, so I can't...." She cetainly isn't too busy to hang out in bars/clubs, drive drunk, hang out on Sam's doorstep, etc...

10. Why won't the judge see past her lies, she needs to be locked up for a while over this. I know people who have done what she did and they got 6 months in jail and weren't able to drive for like 3 years, so where is the justice??? She doesn't have a movie cause no one will hire or since it will bomb like the rest of the crap movies she makes, so give up on the excuses and do what you have to do Lindsay! PUT HER IN JAIL AND JUST ROT IN THERE FOR A YEAR, MAYBE SHE WILL FIGURE OUT THAT SHE NEEDS HELP WITHOUT MAKING EXCUSES.

13. Don't worry everyone they will have her back soon enought..They made an example out of paris for driving with out a Lic and gave her 40 something days in jail.. This Skank got 48 mins come on.. but that's ok she's going to mess is up soon enough.. sad sorry to say but she will.. and I hope to the Goodness that tax payers money aint wasted everytime she's wasted..going to court..
