Shirley! Shirley! Shirley! O' beautiful and talented songstress from the mid-1960's. Where has this dynamite lady been for many years? There was a time when her rendition of Goldfinger (theme from the movie Goldfinger) was playing often and everywhere. Her big voice sent chills down my spine. She had it all - elegance, glamorous gowns, talent, and stardom unmatched. If you have never rented the movie Goldfinger - just do it.

Dame Shirley Bassey is the Best singer ever! She has beauty, class, and stage presence. A lot of these new divas can learn a lot from her. I don't know why she's not very popular in the US. My favorite song is Diamonds are forever.

I saw her gig at the BBC proms last week. That pic doesn't do her justice, and she has the most amazing legs a twenty year old would be proud of.
And she can still knock the spots off most young female singers these days at the age of 72. Girlfriend is a legend.

Re: Shirley Bassey- this is a poor photo- check out her fantastic recording of "Get this part started" (yes, the Pink song) on YouTube. She looks great, has more class than possible, and still sounds as fantastic as she did when she sang "Goldfinger."
