Levi's Rep to Conan: Take It Back or We Sue

11/5/2009 9:23 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Levi Johnston's manager has launched an ultimatum to Conan O'Brien's show over last night's William Shatner sketch: "If they don't retract, we'll sue."

NBC had no official comment, but an insider at "The Tonight Show" tells us they'll be addressing the issue on the air tonight -- and Shatner twittered he will be back for another appearance. Coincidence? We think not.

Yesterday, Shatner read what was represented as posts from Levi's Twitter account, making him look like a racially insensitive pothead -- but as we first reported, Levi's reps say the famous Palin-impaler doesn't even have a Twitter account ... or a Facebook, or a Myspace.

Levi's attorney tells us he's already dealing with Twitter over the fake account.

Wonder if wussy boy realizes that more gay guys read Playgirl than women do? Hmmm, maybe he does. What a piece of trash!

This young man is truly a piece of garbage. I can't begin to imagine why Ms. Palin allowed her daughter to be involved with him. I realize tht young people make their own decisions, for better or worse, but this guy is trash. And he was trash before he decided to show it all to Playgirl. I sincerely hope that he can be kept away from the child that he helped to make. He will be a terrible influence on him. It seems that he will sell his soul to the devil for publicity.

I do not know the potential merits of Levi's proposed lawsuit. I would advise that such suit is generally not a contingency case and suing conglomerates like NBC or General Electric usually is not a good idea. Huge concerns have hundreds of lawyers already on retainer and could care less.
