Carrie: Sex Tape Was 'Biggest Mistake of My Life'

11/9/2009 11:38 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Carrie Prejean wasted no time getting into the nitty-gritty while on "Hannity" tonight -- immediately saying her solo sex tape was "the biggest mistake of my life."

Carrie: Sex Tape Was 'Biggest Mistake of My Life'

The former beauty queen told Sean she was just a teenager when she decided to send her boyfriend -- who she "loved and cared about" at the time -- the extremely intimate video of herself.

Carrie said she takes "full responsibility" for the "humiliating" tape.

Ah, well...Ms. Prejean...again. It is very interesting to me that the people so righteously defending Carrie Prejean seem to continuously feel the need to label her detractors as "liberals", "homos" (I addressed the anachronistic nature of the term in a previous post, to no avail), "sinners", occasionally "Atheists" and "Christian Bashers". Or some combination of the above. The consistent need to label one's perceived enemies is an indicator of ignorance and fear. Just a thought.

Of course we all make mistakes, that's a given. But aSSuming that ALL women (for example) have something to hide, that might come back to haunt them, is a bit of an exaggeration. Only people who are, at their hearts, dishonest, might feel this way. I myself have done many dubious things in the past. No nude photos or videos, I'm afraid, but I did lead quite the uproarious life for a while. My husband knows. Anyone who needs to know, or for whom it is important to have that information, knows. I am not in the habit of lying. Ms. Prejean's difficulty, once again, ad nauseum, is that she signed a contract in which she indicated that there was not one thing potentially available anywhere that might prove embarrassing to the pageant. Of course the pageant is an exercise in imbecility, but Ms. Prejean entered it of her own free will (whether it is idiotic or matters in the greater scheme of things or not), was not coerced in any way, and blatantly, knowingly, engaged in breach of contract when she failed to acknowledge that there was existing material that could harm her, and therefore the pageant's, reputation.

It does not matter that she is against same-sex marriage. It does not matter that she was a brain-dead teen when she made her masturbatory tape (I suspect she's lying about who might have been holding the camera, but I don't really care). Or whether the dirty-minded breeze opened her top (several times) for her photo shoot. What matters is that she lied in conjunction with a legal matter. As far as her ethical standards go, she seems to be quite lacking, in that she has quite presented herself as a paragon of virtue, Family Values, and the Christian Way. I do not particularly give her kudos for honesty in "admitting" her's the typical response of any spoiled, rather stupid child when the lamp is broken and they are the only one in the room.

TMZ did not go looking for Ms. Prejean's video tape. It was offered to them, and they actually did not want it. The fact that someone had it, and offered it to pageant officials, is not the responsibility of TMZ, insofar as I know. That the gay community was upset by her stand on same-sex marriage is not surprising, but she didn't lose her crown because of it. Gay people are largely reviled because humans, particularly the less well-informed, less-intelligent members of the species, deeply fear those who differ from themselves. They then hide behind a few words from meager passages in antiquated religious works to justify their paranoia and hatred. It is desperately sad, but it has nothing to do with Ms. Prejean's loss of title.

Of course she chose FOX news, they would be sympathetic. She did look exceedingly twitchy. Worse, she sounded pathetic and dim. A very sorry case indeed.

"Ms. Prejean's difficulty, once again, ad nauseum, is that she signed a contract in which she indicated that there was not one thing potentially available anywhere that might prove embarrassing to the pageant."

If I remember correct, that was not the phrasing. It was about nudity and sex, and this was a private tape that will probably not be regarded as sexual within the context of the contract in court. I think it would be reasonable to assume that the contract is referring to commercial activities and not to being photographed at nude beaches if you are a nudist.

Carrie Prejean is only 22 years old and I think she is handling these attacks with dignity and grace.People have obviously betrayed her.Hang in there Carrie! The vivious attacks are unbelievable.

Nitpick much?? Since you seem to need EXACT phrasing for it to be true.. here you go! I didn't include the part about drinking, etc. becuase it does not apply here.

Page 8, Section 9 (a) of the contract states:

"I represent that at all times prior to the date of this Agreement, I have conducted my activities and life in accordance with the highest ethical and moral standards and that I have never…engaged in any activities that might bring myself, you, Miss Universe, the Miss USA pageant system, Trump, NBC, …into public disrepute, ridicule, contempt, or scandal or might otherwise reflect unfavorably upon any of the foregoing individuals and entities or might shock, insult, or offend the community or any class or group thereof."

Great post Briana!

"The fact that someone had it, and offered it to pageant officials, is not the responsibility of TMZ, insofar as I know."

Maybe not, but it still could be as long as TMZ or the officials don't give us more clarity about how they got it. My own guess is that Trump did get it from TMZ, and that he may have had it as long as they did, which means months. In any case, notifying Carrie about it outside the media would have been the more civilized manner to handle this. The fact that they didn't means to me that they wanted to make a political pro-gay media statement.

wasted days and wasted nights

Life is way too short to be dissin' her for sendin' hot photos of herself to her boyfriend.

1808 days ago

To hell with her

She looks hot, but she's also severely f*cked in the head. She lies 6-7 times, lying to cover her lies, and now she finally admits that the sex tape which she initially said "that's not me" is hers. And I'm supposed to all of a sudden have empathy for her, now that she's been forced to tell the truth? No chance. She's a liar & a hypocrite. End of story.

Sickening. A teenage video of her has leaked. Would that not be underage porn? Gross! Whoever released this is sick. And she is sick for doing it. Btw i am a christian, but i support gay rights and do not judge people. However, she has opened her mouth over and over and has not made being a christian a very good thing. BUT god will judge her, i can't. All i can say is that she is not a good christian role model and there are a lot of people like her. BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE ALL CHRISTIANS BAD....I am a very openminded christian and i try to respect peoples opinions. However, i myself have an opinion and find it hard not to speak up when someone like this releases crap like this...It is utterly disgusting.

#110: TMZ did not have the tape. Someone, as yet undisclosed, offered the tape to them (probably for money, no doubt with malicious intent). TMZ did not give the tape to the pageant officials, and is in no way responsible for what is on the tape, or its distribution. Neither TMZ, nor the pageant, is obligated to reveal to the public the source of the tape, especially if that party wishes to remain anonymous (in fact, either might open themselves up to legal action if they revealed the source, should that person or persons have requested anonymity).

As for the civilized thing to do, how "civilized" was it of Ms. Prejean to launch a lawsuit against the pageant when she lost her title (essentially for breach of contract regarding the appearance of semi-nude pictures she legally stated did not exist by signing off on the pageant rules, and for refusal to attend to her duties as pageant winner...NOT for opposing same-sex marriage)? Someone out there had possession of the tape that Ms. Prejean had quite knowingly made (and lied about). That someone chose, for whatever reasons they might have, as yet unknown to us, (and which we have no actual RIGHT to know), to reveal that tape, and the pageant officials received it. I am quite sure that Mr. Trump (who is no favorite of mine), who actually did NOT seem out to persecute Ms. Prejean after her awkward performance at the pageant and subsequent gaffes, quite the opposite in fact, did NOT have the tape for months, only to use it as a last minute mode of humiliation for the stricken pious princess. I am equally sure that the pageant did not wish to be sued, nor were they taking some political-media stand on same-sex marriage, given that the reigning winner is of the same moral/religious/conservative views as Ms. Prejean and is not being "persecuted" in the least.

BTW, #115, I have several Christian friends just like you, who say that, despite my non-religious leanings, I am a "better Christian" than many who claim the affiliation. Thank you so much for posting. I am sure, as I said, that the source of the tape did not have good intentions toward Ms. Prejean when it was offered first to TMZ (who wisely refused), then to the pageant board. Ms. Prejean claims that she was 17 when the tape was made, considering her predilection for prevarication, and that humans do not come with date stamps, there is no way to actually verify her age when she was filmed. I would venture a guess that she is looking for precisely the reaction that she got from you (no offense intended at all) and others; ie: this is "child pornography". Here's a thought for all who might think so: At 17, many young people marry (it is legal in a number of states), go to college, are already working and living outside the home, are virtual adults and are even in the process of joining the military (not to mention having sex, and babies, without making tapes, etc.). I have seen REAL child pornography, back when PBS was a controversial, hard-hitting affair. Not one of the children was over the age of five. Not one. The films were obtained from various sources, and the children's poor, drugged little faces were blocked out, but not enough to hide their agony. The adults, men and women, seemed to be having the time of their lives. As a student of humanity, and the nature of homo sapiens, this is by far the deepest, blackest pit of human nature. For a whiny, spoiled, egotistical brat like Carrie Prejean to try and compare her willingly made, "seventeen year-old girl" masturbation tape to child pornography to garner sympathy makes me physically ill. She can't go away fast enough.

"Hey beaglemom are U......S-L-O-W??"

What is that supposed to mean? Is it because I tried to make light at the end of my post with a pop culture reference from 30 odd years ago? Perhaps it's because I felt like the level of some of the readers that I was addressing might need a little help in figuring out how to do a simple search of the internet (you seem to fall into this category)? And you chose to single me out and imply that I am mentally impaired because...?

If you are going to try and insult me then at least give some indication as to what you saw that made me a target. I'll give you an example:

So your screen name is "Fulgore1991". Is that the year you were born? If so that clears things up immensely; I would expect that from an eighteen year old! Your post shows many indications of this:

You seem to have serious problems with punctuation and the use of spaces after sentences. You also capitalize the words "pix, video, the non-existant word witchhunt, and rotten for no apparent reason. "Witchhunt" is not a word. I think an adult would know this and either seperate the words or use a hyphen; i.e. witch- hunt.

"Have you ever heard of the concept of bad timing?? Seems really coincidental that all of the sudden after her comments that these Pix and Video all of the sudden became relevant!!"

The pictures have been out for some time and the masturbation tape only came to light when she chose to try and sue the pageant for a million dollars after signing a binding cotract in which she swore no such items existed. They had that tape for a while and never mentioned until they had to produce proof of what she was fired for. She forced their hand on this. That is not really an example of bad timing.

"If her past was so important to the pageant she should have been investigated beforehand and eliminated from the start "

I'm sure that the pageant did do a backround check. Unfortunately private photographers work and ex-boyfriend's hard drive contents would not show up. They had her signature on a contract that stated such items did not exist and she knew that if she lied she could be fired.

"and that my dear is where the saying come from,...."There is something Rotten in Denmark!!!""

Tsk. Tsk. You have made this way too easy for me. The saying is actually "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark" and it comes from William Shakespere's Hamlet, my dear. Educate yourself.

"Only after she makes these COURAGEOUS comments do people start the Witchhunt!!"

I would not call it a witch-hunt or her courageous. Miss Prejean put herself out there as the new spokesperson for "family values". By doing so she thrust herslf into the public eye and has proven time and time again to be nothing more than a liar and a fraud. She brought all of this on herself.

She embodies the term "dumb blonde." Sorry, blondes.

This poor woman is being attacked.

Homosexuals (like TMZ's own Harvey Levin) apparently are the only people that are allowed to have an opinion.

Get a life.
