Oprah just made her big announcement live on her show -- revealing the "real" reason she's walking away after 25 years.

She started strong, then began to cry, then regained her composure -- and in between shameless promotion for her next season, Oprah told her audience that pulling the plug, "feels right."

"I love this show ... this show has been my life and I love it enough to know when it's time to say goodbye. 25 years feels right in my bones and my spirit. It's the perfect number, the exact right time."

And then there was this moment:

"For some of you, long time Oprah viewers, you have literally grown up with me ... we've grown together ... you had your family and you raised your children and you left a spot for me in your morning or afternoon -- depending on when the Oprah show airs in your town."

Will be so nice not to have to hear about her self promoting anymore. Fat one day, on a diet the next. Everytime her weight gets under control, she realizes how big it makes her head.

4. I am puzzled how a never married, never had children, lesbian can have authority on wisdom and advise on family and spiritual matters. She does have a rabid following. Oprah is the de facto CFO (Chief Feminist Officer) of America's women's movement. You go girl…more victimhood and entitlements for the ladies. This will make strengthen America's position on the world stage.

8. She is well read, curious and more involved with her fellow humans that you, 11:12. I would bet she is also more generous to strangers. Being single and childless does not identify anyone as gay. It is more likely a result of the sexual abuse she suffered as a child.
You seem to suffer from poor self esteem and misogynistic tendencies. Both are treatable. Oprah would probably help you rather than criticize you.

13. I stopped liking Oprah when she disrespected Michael Jackson by not acknowledging his death this summer and by having a tribute show that insulted him and was really all about her. Michael Jackson gave her the greatest interview and largest audience she ever had. MJ was a musical genius and a great humanitarian. Instead of asking him questions about his career and music and all the good works he did all over the world, she asked about the color of his skin and his sexuality and plastic surgery. When he needed support, she abandoned him because she cared more about her ratings than helping a fellow human being..
