If anything, it should've taught him the horror of being victimized and powerlessness. You shame the millions of people who suffered through the Holocaust and didn't run out and rape/sodomize/drug little girls. Same goes for his wife's murder. Btw, it was his wife who suffered that horror, not him. If tragedy and loss were a greenlight to raping and committing crimes, the world's in trouble. Ok - he was charged with STATUTORY rape. His "victim" was a willing participant. He was only charged because she was underage, he didn't viciously drug and assault her. It was the 60s - the girl was at a party with Polanski, had drugs, and decided to have sex with him.
