12/12/2009 3:55 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Reports are swirling that Tiger Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, has grabbed her passport and hoofed it to Sweden -- but our spies spotted her just an hour ago.

The above photo shows Elin's SUV after she pulled into the couple's guest house this afternoon.

Elin is packing and leaving the House of Horrors. She is moving to Sweden and will divorce Tiger in the New Year. Good luck to her and the children.

Madam Obvious

Don't be surprised if he winds up getting back with Rachel Uchitel. Seems that they are two dysfunctional peas in a pod.
She really is a gold digging whore. Very good, detailed story on the Woods-Uchitel affair and Elin's reaction from the News of the World website.

"Reports in the US claim Woods has offered Nordegren $5.3 million from his $US974m fortune to stand by him for the next two years."

Only $5.3 million? It shows how much he loves his wife. She is only worth less than 1% of his fortune! He paid that hooker Rachel Uchitel more money!

Deep Digger

i told you this one is the source of the nude pictures. this one is mistress #1, not rachel. rachel uh-i-sell is the last one, whatever her # is.

all these hos went to tiger at first for their pay. except rachel, they were all history. so, tiger did not pay them. (maybe he paid some and we did not hear from them). it is very likely elin knew about them except rachel. it does not take rocket scientist to figure out a guy is cheating. he becomes cold. his knee injury is very likely related to his partying. once the tabloids offered enough money, they sold their story.

usually once a guy is caught, he says he will never do it. he begs his wife for forgiveness. usually, wives forgive for the first time and if kids are involved a couple of times if cheatings occur a few years apart. it takes a while to catch a cheater. when you catch a cheater, he probably have done it a few times.

when national inquirer broke the news, rachel went to tiger. since rachel was a current affair, tiger offered her money to shut up. i am sure tiger spent good money on her. once elin learned about it, tiger contacted rachel so he could not pay her. and then, gloria alarmed all the media. and, tiger bent over.

during the years, the highest amount of money i heard for escort is $10K. but, tiger probably tipped extra so they do not talk around.

support tiger, support his hos

Mike Tyson need to leave us haters alone. He needs a big old dose of hatin' for years to come. He's a 2-faced liar and plays his golf on the "roids".

older guy

Wife leaving will jack this episode up another notch. Needle on the "sympathy/disgust" meter will swing right. Without Elin publicly by his side, the hoped for rehabilitation gets harder.

What surprises me is his ongoing contact with this New York gal, the one prancing in freezing weather. The one who got the big money. Is it a case of "true love"? For his sake I hope not. But hey, stranger things have happened.

Two weeks into Woodsgate, I thought he was nearing bottom. Can't get much worse. Not so sure now. A hooker(?) re-hook up, and unhooking of Elin, will make the first two weeks look like a picnic. Even Jack Nicklaus may have second thoughts! : )

I'm starting to think the guy IS intent on self destruction.

Victoria Secret

It appears few that are commenting here have ever been to Northern Europe or have any knowledge about Scandinavians. Mrs. Woods will not leave her husband. She will definitely stay with him and work through this. It's not likely he would ever stop cheating though, unless something drastic happened and this appears to be quite drastic. The other women are really just considered to be commodities, and nothing more. He will stay with his wife if she will have him and I'm certain she will.

I am probably one of the few women in the world who is not ready to see Tiger Wood destroyed because of his behavior. I certainly don't approve of what he has been doing but I am not overly fond of his wife's behavior either. It seems that she has turned what should be a private issue into the public shot that was heard around the world. This business of no golf is toooo much. Golf has been his entire life since he was a small child. I am relatively certain that without golf he will be a miserable person. Is his wife really that important in the total big picture.

My suggestion is that he stop pandering to her. He can't undo what has already been done. And it is my personal opinion that even if he never steps out to line again she will never let him forget this time. He needs to make a huge settlement on her, package her back to her home country, and have an ironclad contract about his rights to see and be with his children.

The US hypocrisy continues

Victoria's Secret, marriage is not particularly respected in Sweden, so saying that Elin will definitely not leave Woods is a big call and you're probably wrong. Here is a comparison of marriage/divorce between US and Sweden. Swedish society is more liberal than the US, religion is much weaker there, and co-habitation way more common. Statistically, Tiger and Elin have a 50% chance of divorcing.

"From 1970 to 2004 the annual number of marriages per 1,000 adult women in the United States plunged by nearly 50 per cent. This is due to a combination of factors. First marriages are being put off until later: the median age of new spouses rose from 20 for females and 23 for males in 1960 to about 26 and 27, respectively, in 2004. Other factors include the growth of cohabitation and a decrease in the tendency of divorced people to remarry.

The divorce rate today is nearly twice that of 1960, but has declined slightly since hitting its peak in the early 1980s. For the average couple that married in recent years, the lifetime probability of divorce or separation remains between 40 and 50 per cent.

The number of unmarried, cohabiting couples has increased dramatically over the past four decades, and the increase is continuing. Most young American adults now spend some time living together outside of marriage, and cohabitation commonly precedes marriage.

The US birthrate continues to decline. The latest data, for 2003, shows an average of 2.044 children per woman. This figure is higher than in many other countries, though observers believe that the American rate will decline further in future decades.

The trend toward fatherless families levelled off in the late 1990s, but the most recent data show a slight increase. In 1960 only nine per cent of children lived in single- parent families. By 2004 this jumped to 28 per cent. The overwhelming majority of single-parent families are mother-only.

Meanwhile, surveys reveal that Americans increasingly view marriage and child rearing as separate pursuits. Among teenagers, both boys and girls have become more accepting of non-marital lifestyles, especially unwed childbearing.

In his essay Popenoe looks at the argument that contends the United States could reduce problems such as child poverty, teen pregnancy, and single parenthood if it was to adopt family and welfare policies similar to those of Sweden or Norway.

Sweden has one of the lowest marriage rates in the world. If current trends hold, only about 60 per cent of Swedish women will ever marry, compared with over 85 per cent of their US counterparts. Fifty years ago the figure was 91 per cent for Sweden and 95 per cent for the United States.

Instead of marriage, cohabitation is increasingly popular in Sweden. By contrast, the United States has a lower rate of cohabitation than all but the predominantly Catholic nations of southern Europe. About 28 per cent of all couples in Sweden are cohabiting, versus eight per cent of American couples.

A number of factors contribute to the high rate of cohabitation in Sweden. Religion is weak, and the moral and cultural taboos against partners living together have disappeared. In addition, government benefits are given to individuals regardless of their relationships or family arrangements. Spousal benefits in such matters as health care simply do not exist. And all income tax is individual.

For its part the United States stands out for having the world's highest divorce rate. The risk of a marriage ending in divorce in the United States is close to 50 per cent, compared with about 40 per cent in Sweden. This difference can be explained in part by the high levels of ethnic, racial and religious diversity in the United States, all of which are associated with divorce. By contrast Sweden has a highly homogeneous society. And, of course, people who cohabit but don't marry won't have to divorce.

Swedish cohabiting couples do, however, break up in large numbers. It is estimated that the risk of breakup for cohabiting couples in Sweden, even those with children, is several times higher than for married couples.

Moreover, the Swedish divorce rate has been growing in recent years, while the US rate has been declining. So, overall, given the increasing convergence of divorce rates, and the instability of cohabiting couples, the family breakup rate in the two nations is actually quite similar, Popenoe concludes.

One significant difference between the two countries regards the percentage of children living with their biological parents. The number of births outside marriage is higher in Sweden, 56 per cent, than in the United States, 35 per cent. Even so, more children in Sweden live with their parents. This happens because the extramarital births in Sweden are mostly to cohabitating couples, while in the United States they are to young, non-cohabitating mothers.

I don't think everyone wants to see Tiger 'destroyed' by this hoopla. They are just mad at him right now. He's still the greatest golpher. Just a really really crappy husband.

TMZ, I do want to know why the hell you're so close to their home. Leave the woman alone, you creeps.

#202 - I think it was actually all the bimbos coming out one by one that did him in. The National Enquirer was just about to expose his sorry cheating a$$ as well.
