Zac Efron -- See You on the Flip Side

Zac Efron's entire life was briefly turned upside down the other day -- when the singing, dancing, death-defying man boy attempted a gnarly backflip on a bicycle.

It takes Efron two practice crashes in the foam pit before he gathers up enough chutzpah to yank back hard on the handlebars -- but when he finally goes for it, dude is fearless.

Good for him, looks like a lot of fun, flippin' into a foam pit. For a fabulous insight into the origins of freestyle BMX, read Mat Hoffman's autobiography "The Ride of My Life."

Because it's a gratituous set up for an episode of next season's Fantasy Factory. MTV's gotta keep Dyrdek's show interesting for the sake of ratings by having young douche bag "celebrities" appear at the Factory and pretend like they're the best of friends when in fact it's likely he never met these people before they were asked to make an appearance on the show. Remember John Mayer?? (lol)
