Man in Photo is Not JFK

12/28/2009 2:57 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ received an email from someone who said the photo we posted showing a man appearing to be John F. Kennedy on a yacht with naked women was actually a photo from a 1967 Playboy photo shoot.

We have contacted Playboy and a rep says the photo did indeed run in one of its 1967 issues. We are trying to get a copy and will update as soon as we get the info.

UPDATE: 2:34 PM ET
We've now confirmed the photo was part of a Playboy spread in 1967. The image published in Playboy was published in color.

UPDATE: 1:11 PM ET
A rep from Playboy tells TMZ the photo ran as part of story titled, "Playboy's Charter Yacht Party: How to Have a Ball on the Briny with an Able-Bodies Complement of Ship's Belles." She says the photo was taken on one of the islands that make up the Grenadines (Petit Rameau).

So much for your experts. You should take your watermark off the photo and write PLAYBOY on it.

So your "experts" are experts in what? Telling you in a professional manner exactly what you wanted to hear? Was your Kennedy "expert" an old janitor on the clock at the time the photo came in...and since he was alive back when Kennedy was you asked "Does this look like JFK? Say Yes and we'll give you a donut with sprinkles on it!"

I'd say you were a bunch of dummy's ...but then again, this whole thing accomplished what you wanted in the first place...you got everyones shorts in a knot and their computers glued to your site : )

What is hard to believe is that the person who gave you this photo actually had the original photo from the Playboy shoot back in the 60's...so was this in reality a professional con job where they reproduced the photo from the magazine with paper and chemicals from the era and then aged it well enough that your other "expert" fell for the con?

First clue: A photo which if real would be worth 10 million dollars being handed over to TMZ in the first place...lol!
