The judge has spoken -- one of the ex-police chiefs accused of rummaging through the home of Sarah Jessica Parker's surrogate in search of souvenirs was just sentenced to two years and eight months in the slammer.
Barry Carpenter -- the former chief of police in Martins Ferry, Ohio where the surrogate lives -- was convicted of receiving stolen property, theft in office, and tampering with evidence.
He was acquitted of burglary.
Carpenter resigned from his post as police chief two weeks ago.

(Page 1 of 1)I hope they place him in general population and make him room with a cellie.
I hope he has to stay the whole time. The idea that you have to fear that the Chief of Police will break into your home is unbelievable.
Looks like things got a little rough when they arrested him...or is he in need of some Clearasil?
So stupid!
People KILL people and get away with less jail time than this. Who gives a crap what he did. So the guy is an idiot... take away his job, give him humiliating community service..but this is dumb and an over reaction to what he did.
This guy is a ass and give police a bad name !! well one thing is for sure he will be getting some ASS !!!!!! HOPE YOU LIKE YOUR NEW HOME, AND DONT TAKE ANY THING IN THERE

It's not. Try not to screw with this one too.
And this is why YOU ARE NOT THE MEDIA.
