Dr. Conrad Murray -- Too Early to Deal

1/11/2010 10:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Dr. Conrad Murray -- who is in the crosshairs of the Michael Jackson homicide investigation -- is in no position to even discuss plea bargaining a criminal case ... this according to his lawyer.

Dr. Conrad Murray and J. Michael Flanagan

Attorney Michael Flanagan tells TMZ he has already been in touch with Pat Dixon, the Head Deputy District Attorney in the L.A. County D.A.'s office, and Dixon is not sharing any info about the case against Dr. Murray. According to Flanagan, Dixon said he can't share information in a case that could go to the L.A. County Grand Jury.

A spokesperson for the D.A.'s office tells TMZ Flanagan did speak with Dixon on Friday, but all Dixon said was he could not discuss the case. The spokesperson says Dixon never mentioned a possible grand jury.

As we first reported, there is a "strong likelihood" the D.A. will go after Dr. Murray for involuntary manslaughter, but it's not a done deal.

Law enforcement sources say they don't know if the big wigs in the D.A.'s office will sign off on involuntary manslaughter. The LAPD will be formally presenting the case to the D.A. soon, and the presentation, we're told, will be critical in the decision-making process.

Flanagan tells TMZ as far as he knows Dr. Murray has not violated any law in connection with Michael Jackson's medical care the day he died. Flanagan believes it will be "very difficult" for the D.A. to base a case on gross negligence -- a requirement in proving involuntary manslaughter. As Flanagan puts it, even if there's proof of "an error in judgment," it's a giant leap for a jury to conclude the lapse of judgment constitutes manslaughter.

But, law enforcement sources say the LAPD has experts who have gone on record saying Dr. Murray's conduct constitutes gross negligence that supports a manslaughter prosecution.

You should all read this. Has to do with a Dr.Neil Ratner medicating MJ to put him to sleep; Randy Phillips claiming that he asked Tohme Tohme if they could increase the number of shows to 50...TT came back and told him MJ had agreed to it. But Michael always denied that, so did TT set him up? Is that why MJ sacked him? On whose authority then, did TT turn up at the hospital 2 months later and take control of the media announcement etc? Then went back to the house and sacked all the staff? (money, jewellery, security tapes all missing).
Has Larry King ever given a reason for TT's non-appearance at two scheduled shows at which he was going to answer questions sent in by the fans?
Did you all see TT talking quietly with Jermaine on the TII red carpet, then quickly disappear when he realized the cameras were on him?
If we have noticed all these things and are asking questions, I hope it means that LAPD are too and haven't just swept it under the carpet. They owe Michael Jackson big-time for what they put him through.

they beat your heart...
they treated you like an animal...
they made you cry in your sleepless and lonely nights...
if only they had loved you a little...
if only they had looked into your eyes...
they would have seen the love inside you and your disarming innocence.
Don't tell me it's too late, please, don't.
I love you Michael.

Look at it another way;

if you think of MJ as a child molestor and Dr C as a bystander - Dr C would still be negligent for standing by and allowing this to happen.

In England, it doesnt matter how much you get paid you still have a responsibility to deliver treatment safely and responsibly. was this done responsibly? no - he knew he had an addiction, he knew MJ was weak and messed up, he knew there were alternatives he could of administered which were as effective (in MJs health) but he still administered the drug which killed him.

He then failed to make that important call to 911 AND tried to do CPR on a bed.... i went to girl guides and learnt you get them on the floor 1st!!

Question is - would you be signing up him as your doctor or your childrens doc knowing, he don't care as long as he's getting paid??? maybe if you've an addiction...he's your man!

I wrote a blog called PERFECT TIMING. It talks about what I think killed the KING OF POP, but what I failed to mention in my blog was that I think when MJ addressed his fans in London to prpmote THIS IS IT, he knew he wouldn't be alive to do the shows
I must've watched THIS IS IT fifty times, or so, studying Michael's facial expressions and body language --- and this is the impression I got consistently: that MJ planned his departure.
