Dr. Conrad Murray -- Too Early to Deal

1/11/2010 10:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Dr. Conrad Murray -- who is in the crosshairs of the Michael Jackson homicide investigation -- is in no position to even discuss plea bargaining a criminal case ... this according to his lawyer.

Dr. Conrad Murray and J. Michael Flanagan

Attorney Michael Flanagan tells TMZ he has already been in touch with Pat Dixon, the Head Deputy District Attorney in the L.A. County D.A.'s office, and Dixon is not sharing any info about the case against Dr. Murray. According to Flanagan, Dixon said he can't share information in a case that could go to the L.A. County Grand Jury.

A spokesperson for the D.A.'s office tells TMZ Flanagan did speak with Dixon on Friday, but all Dixon said was he could not discuss the case. The spokesperson says Dixon never mentioned a possible grand jury.

As we first reported, there is a "strong likelihood" the D.A. will go after Dr. Murray for involuntary manslaughter, but it's not a done deal.

Law enforcement sources say they don't know if the big wigs in the D.A.'s office will sign off on involuntary manslaughter. The LAPD will be formally presenting the case to the D.A. soon, and the presentation, we're told, will be critical in the decision-making process.

Flanagan tells TMZ as far as he knows Dr. Murray has not violated any law in connection with Michael Jackson's medical care the day he died. Flanagan believes it will be "very difficult" for the D.A. to base a case on gross negligence -- a requirement in proving involuntary manslaughter. As Flanagan puts it, even if there's proof of "an error in judgment," it's a giant leap for a jury to conclude the lapse of judgment constitutes manslaughter.

But, law enforcement sources say the LAPD has experts who have gone on record saying Dr. Murray's conduct constitutes gross negligence that supports a manslaughter prosecution.

If this B******d gets away with MJs death, then I will lose what little faith I have in the Justice System. Dr Conrad Murray could only see dollar signs and had only been working for Michael weeks before his death. I understand he demanded millions to accompany him to London and Michael refused. He didn't give a rats about Michaels welfare and was grossly unprofessional. Michael would be here today if it wasn't for Murrays negligence. God bless you Michael.

Personally

I hope it is true

Unfortunately the police need in this case show that he is honest

I just want justice for Michael, and justice in the medical profession

THANK YOU MICHAEL!

6. Conrad Murray is not responsible for Michael Jackson's death; Michael Jackson was responsible. It is true that part of his responsibility involves insisting on the hiring of a physician with a public record of incompetence, but evidently the acquisition of dangerous medications and narcotics was of greater importance to the King of Pop than good medical treatment. Look at it this way: If he had been convicted of child molestation, as he should have been, and sentenced to prison, he probably would have died earlier than he did--and in a homicide, no doubt.

What you must be Joking Right? I agree with you That Michael is responsible to a certain extent, now with that begging said have you been under a rock for the last 7 months? Murray Knowing supplied and pumped Michael full of drugs Again I say willingly no one forced him he did it because he wanted too. He not only pumped him full of crap he didn’t even have the proper equipment to monitor him, then he walks out of the room for god only knows how long only to come back and Find Mj not breathing.. So instead of getting some kind of help or even having the proper medicine to counter act what he had given him he let him lay there in distress knowing that he need real medical attention... He let him lay there and die... the outcome might have been different if he had done so right away Mj might would be in Rehab getting better but he’s not.. Mj had a problem and I can admit that but I say look at what he went through all he wanted to do was sleep I can only imagine how he must have felt…you are a closed mind person to say if he had been convicted? If they had any real Proof they would have got it...and not to mention the FBI was chasing in all over the world and couldn’t get him so I really have to say look at all the facts before u open your mouth do some research.. You are not God and cannot make such as statement how would u feel if this was your family member or friend I think u stamen might be a little more realistic. MJ was suffering and Had a problem the Dr. is supposed to have his best interest at heart.. Heal not kill.. and at this point even thougth Mj asked for them I cannot get over the fact he let him lay in distress knowing he need help.. And for that he should have the book thrown at him after he is made to publicly apologize to the Jackson’s and the Fans/ supporters..
MJ is a one of a kind and I was luck that I got to be apart of because Their will never be another Michael Jackson..

Many people here say that Mr. Murray was not guilty of negligence, with all my heart I recommend Mr. Murray as the personal physician for them.

For the rest of the Medical Professionals are less problems.

Murray cried and asked for prayer. At one time that would have made me feel sorry for him but that no longer works. I have seen crying and denial before when the accused was 100% guilty. you live and learn. That no longer works.

We are finally going the get the troot Dr Murray....and that means your ass is going to jail.!!!!
You let the $$$$ get to you. You took on a role to provide medical care for a known drug addict. You provided him with the drugs that he seeked, without a thought about the risk that you were taking....or perhaps you did, but the money always won out. THATS CALLED GREED.
As a result a family no longer has a Father, Brother, Uncle friend, we fans no longer have our idol and the world has lost a legend.
Dr Murray you were negligent beyond belief. A patient in your care died because you failed in YOUR DUTY OF CARE.
I hope when you close your eyes at night...every night, the last image you see, is the image of a dying man.....the man the you had a duty of care too. The image of a man that was in less than 2 weeks supposed to be moon walking in front of millions of fans.
The image of THE MAN.... Michael Jackson slipping away. That Conrad Murray is what I hope you see every night when you close your eyes.!!

If Pharty Phlanagan gets the quack off then he too is just as guilty of the crime. But then, he's a lawyer and since when have they ever let the truth get in the way of a "result" ?? Murray is a killer and he killed his patient by gross negligence and incompetence. He MUST pay the price. He MUST go to jail. He MUST be struck off.

So if you don't like the victim, the person who killed them should get off! That's justice is it? This quack gave him a potent mixture of drugs, which there is no evidence he was addicted to, and therefore had no tolerance, he then gives him an anaesthetic drug, known to cause depressed breathing and heart rate, and then leaves him for at least 47 minutes to make phone calls. He had no means of monitoring him, and no means of resucitating him. If he did that to one of your relatives in a hospital would you be happy to see him get away with it? If that is not criminal negligence what is. If he doesn't do some serious jail time you may as well make assisted suicide legal, all a doctor needs to do is the same as Murrey and because the patient allegidly asked for it then it is ok, all the doctor has to say is that he was helping the person sleep and it was a tragic accident. There were people who wanted MJ dead and I wouldn't be surprised if the good Doctor isn't waiting for his big payoff. IF MJ asked for it that was even more reason for Murrey to have said no. He was the doctor, MJ obviously felt safe, and not aware of the danger, he was not suicidal. Murrey should loose his licence and go to jail, same as any of these quacks who are qualified pushers and dealers to the vulnerable. The FBI investigation into MJ (which found nothing) was asked by LAPD to help convict MJ using a racist law, do fans really trust them with this? No! nIf the media were not so prejudiced and lazy they would be doing more investigation into this quack.

The bottom line is that Murry should have known better....he was more worried about saving his own a$$ that day than Michaels, otherwise he would have been trying to resustate him(and got help) the second he noticed something was wrong.....murry made the stupidest mistake and it will haunt him for the rest of his life......he knows in that time he wasted trying to save himself he could have saved Michael and the world would be a happier place....

Murray should be in jail! He gave a drug that should have not been given outside a hospital, didn't have the proper monitors, left MJ alone, waited to call 911,gave CPR wrong!
