Leno Takes One on the Chin from Conan

Also I haven't yet heard Jay take any cheap shots at Conan--imitate him or take pot shots at his looks like Conan has done with Jay.

All of Jay's barbs have been directed toward NBC.

It looks to me like Conan is showing weak character and going into full blown tantrum.

Gee, I wonder how well Conan would have done at 10:00...well, not really.

I love Conan! He has more natural wit, charm, improvisational skills and natural ability to deliver jokes in his little pinky than Jay has in his whole body (including that chin of his). When Jay said he was going to retire, he should have stuck to that. GO CONAN!!

Jay Leno has not taken any cheap shots at Conan, because he knows he is the one at fault here. There is nothing for him to be upset about. Everything NBC is doing is to accommodate Jay! He is not getting the raw end of any deal.

Jay was NOT forced into retirement, it was his decision and then at the last minute, he decided he didn't want to go. He was hinting around to NBC that he'd go to another network with a show that would be on at the same time as the Tonight Show, if they didn't give him a deal, they caved in and gave him a show, which was a terrible decision on their part. Jay didn't always have good ratings, it took him a couple years to build them up, I have no doubt that Conan would do the same. With Jay's stupid show on every single night, it didn't even give Conan a chance to build up an audience. Jay's show failed miserably. When that happens to most shows, that's it, the end - they shouldn't keep getting 2nd chances. What NBC should have done was canceled his show months ago, go back to having their dramas on in that time slot, and see if things picked up for Conan. When something fails (i.e. Jay's show), you don't give it chance after chance after chance. Jay's a weasel, why do you think so many people in Hollywood dislike him? He weaseled his way into the Tonight Show in the first place and now he's trying to weasel his way back. The people at NBC have to be idiots. I, for one, am boycotting NBC all together, with the exception of Conan. I wouldn't blame him one bit, if he did leave.

I can't see how Conan could operate within the psychological confines of the FOX network. The FOX network is a radical far-right nutcase and that is absolutely the opposite of what you want as an environment conducive to entertainment talent developing it's full potential for a universal market. For crying out loud, FOX just signed Sarah Palin. FOX and Conan just don't mix.

I read on my twitter from a tv media buddy I follow who had a link to the NYT Mediablogger Conan O'Brien is quitting the tonight show. Have any of u heard about this afternoon?

I completely forgot leno was on at 10 o'clock. I think I forgot because Leno SUCKS! Jay is not funny at all. Long live CoCo.

Jay Leno is not funy. All of his jokes are obvious and he is rude. I used to like him when I was 12 but I enjoy Conan's wit, as do other intellegent people.
