Fox Registers Conan Website

1/19/2010 11:06 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Fox has just purchased Conan O'Brien -- maybe.

A week ago today, Fox registered the domain name CONANONFOX.COM.

As we already reported, Fox is interested in hiring Conan for a late night gig. And, as we also reported, under Conan's separation agreement with NBC, he'll have to sit it out until September before hosting another show.

By the way, when you click on CONANONFOX.COM, it redirects you to a Twitter page which shows Conan on Fox. You must have a Twitter account to access the page.

The registrant of CONANONFOX.COM is the Intellectual Property Department of Twentieth Century Fox.

Hey TMZ……

1. Do you think Conan should tell FOX he will come to their network for FREE? (or work for $1 if money has to be involved)

That way NBC will STILL have to pay his complete fee, rather than only a portion after he’s paid by another network.

2. On that same note, do you think that Conan should tell FOX that if he will come to their network for free they (FOX) should pay any fines if he makes jabs at NBC during the show?

That way NBC still has to pay him and when he bashes them on his show he wouldn’t be the one responsible to pay out of his own pocket. (I’m sure FOX would want some sort of agreement, "no more than X amount of bashes per episode", depending on how large the fine is, etc.)

Just a thought...
