Michael Jackson Coroner Report - House of Drugs

2/8/2010 5:15 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has just obtained a copy of the full L.A. County Coroner's report in the death of Michael Jackson -- which until now was under seal. The conclusion is clear ... Propofol killed the singer.

Michael Jackson

According to the report, the manner of death is homicide and the conclusion is based on the following 4 items:

1. Circumstances indicate the Propofol and the benzodiazepines were administered by another.

2. Propofol was administered in a non-hospital setting without any appropriate medical indication.

3. The standard of care for administering Propofol was not met. Recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was not present.

4. The circumstances do not support self-administration of Propofol.

The Coroner's report was under wraps until the criminal complaint was filed and it will be a centerpiece in the prosecution of Dr. Conrad Murray on charges of involuntary manslaughter.

UPDATE: In the Coroner's report, the scene at Jackson's house is described in detail, and the bedroom sounds like a hospital. There was a chair next to the bed -- "reportedly the decedent's doctor sat here." Also there -- a green oxygen tank, prescription meds, medical supplies, a box of catheters, disposable needles and alcohol pads. Also found -- near the foot of the bed ... a closed bottle of urine.

As we first reported, authorities found 11 bottles of Propofol in the house -- 3 100 ml vials and 8 20 ml vials.

Also, there was talk about Jackson's hair and reports he was bald. In fact, the Coroner's report says, "The decedent's head hair is sparse and is connected to a wig."

UPDATE: As for what drugs were found in Michael Jackson's house ... authorities found Diazepam (for anxiety) prescribed by Dr. Murray, Lorazepam (for anxiety) prescribed by Dr. Murray and Temazepam (for insomnia) prescribed by Dr. Murray. Authorities also found Clonazepam (for panic disorders) prescribed by Dr. Allan Metzger, Trazodone (an anti-depressant) prescribed by Dr. Metzger. And they found Tizanidine (a muscle relaxer) prescribed to Omar Arnold (a Jackson alias) prescribed by Dr. Arnold Klein. There was also an empty vial of Propofol injectable emulsion and an empty glass vial of a Flumazenil injection (which reverses effects of sedation) and a broken syringe.

As we first reported, authorities found 11 vials of Propofol ... 3 100 ml vials and 8 20 ml vials. None of the bottles had prescription directions, patient or doctor names.

They also found liquid Midazolam (anti-anxiety), Lorazepam liquid (injectable) and 14 capsules of ephedrine (for narcolepsy and depression), caffeine aspirin, Zanaflex (a muscle relaxer) and Prednisone (for skin conditions). There was also Azithromycin (an antibiotic), prescribed by Dwight James/Cherilyn Lee and the patient name was Kathlyn Hursey.

UPDATE: An anesthesiologist who consulted with the Coroner said there are "NO reports of its use (Propofol) for insomnia relief, to my knowledge. The only reports of its use in homes are cases of fatal abuse."

If it hadn't been Dr. Murray it would have been someone else. Michael got what he wanted. Be carefull what you ask for.

I didn't mean to offend you. Please except my apology. The photo was taken through the passenger side window of the ambulance. It is a matter of fact, not an opinion. At any rate. Have a better day than me.
Sincerely,

Murry should have his license pulled for not having the proper monitoring equipt, but. MJ was the one that shopped doctors until he found one that would hook him up. ANYONE that takes drugs bears the largest part of responsibility for the drugs actions. He was an addict. Like almost all addicts he died while stoned. His fans don't want to admit that but its plain as day.

"House of Drugs"??? C'mon TMZ, give it a rest. My girlfriend suffers from horrendous migraines and has been given a mountain of different prescriptions to try and find the "right one". She literally has bags of prescriptions kicking around cuz she hasn't taken the time out to dispose of them properly ... Given the nonsense Michael Jackson put up with in his life, plus his very real medical conditions, what was in his house was nothing. With the exception of the Propofol. Conrad Murray and lawyers, explain away ....

As for the wigs - most of us had guessed that by now anyway. For that matter, who cares? It was the man himself we cared about, not the hair. His heart, although now physically stopped beating, remains strong in soulful spirt and intent. His music, his family and his fans for generations to come will keep him alive.

You certainly can't put all the blame on Dr. Murray, If he didn't do it, someone else would have. All MJ's family is blaming him, but where were they and why were'nt they watching out for him??????????

all i can say is that michael jackson had a serious problem. using profofol in my opinion could not really be helping his sleep problem. I had a minor surgical procedure and that is what they used to sedate you, you do not feel refreshed coming out of that sleep.

So that's your excuse to let the lazy, greedy doctor off the hook? Claiming if he didn't do it someone else would have? Gee, let's let all the murderers out of Death Row then, 'cause if they didn't do it someone else would have.

If Murray was any kind of a doctor, he knew how dangerous the drugs were that he administered to Michael. Let's not forget the greedy plastic surgeons who operated on Michael and made him look worse. Plastic surgery shouldn't be done unless a person's face is badly disfigured from an accident, fire, etc., and the patient has nothing to lose and everything to gain from surgery. Michael looked perfectly fine before they wrecked his looks, which is probably why he needed drugs to sleep from psychological problems relating to how the plastic surgeons disfigured him. It's obvious if you look at pictures of him before they got ahold of him.

About the wigs. I agree with your post. That is why I am glad that the question has finally been formally addressed via the coroners report. Also the rumors about him not having a nose. That rumor has been silenced as well.

It's a flawed autopsy. There's no record of the weight of the smegma they found under his foreskin.

My mum is a nurse and she is mortified that Propofol was given and that it was accessed outside of an operating room.

They had all those drugs in the house with little kids there? They're lucky that MJ's the only one dead.

SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THAT SOMEBODY SURE DID PLANT A LOT OF MEDICINES IN MICHAELS HOME TO MAKE HIM LOOK BAD. THEY ARE ALL GOING TO GET WHATS COMING TO THEM SOONER THAN LATER. ALL THESE DOCTORS SHOULD LOOSE THEIR LICENSES JUST LIKE MURRAY AND CHARGED SOMEHOW FOR WHAT THEY DID TO MICHAEL TO MAKE THEMSELVES RICH. WOULD NOT TAKE MY DOG TO ANY OF THEM. IN MY OPINION ONLY I THINK THERE IS A LOT MORE TO THIS STORY THAN JUST MURRAY. GOD WILL GET YOU ALL EVENTUALLY.

OMG people yes MJ had a problem with Rx meds in the past but he was not an addict at the time of his death! The only drugs found in his system were the ones Murray gave him. He was healthy. The main point is Murray was the doctor and he should have said no!

All the drugs listed are not at all unusual for someone with massive stress, hectic schedules, Insomnia, etc.. None of tho other medication are lethal when taken in non massive doses. or as needed. And they can ALL be xplained by Michaels healthy needs.. The one "Tizanadine" is a strong muscle relaxant used often to control spasm and pain, and it dries your mouth significantly and can effect speech especially if you take more than one, but even 1 can do it, which could explain Michaels sometimes slurred speech. I know this because my brother has to take it and it soketimes worries me, but its a normal side effect.

Im appalled that after all that is known about what was done, and what was NOT done, That the DA would choose to file the very minimum charges. This was so much more then just an unfortunate accident. It was gross negligence at the very least.

I wonder what the DA has to gain. or if this is some sort of payback to MJ from the DA's office.

Is there any recourse to him being charged with more? Can a Jury find him guilty of something worse? Can another proseciting agency file charges, such as the FBI? or Supreme court?

That this man could KILL Michael Jackson and get away with a slap on the wrist is criminal in itself.
I know one thing .. The DA has no chance for re-election, nor anyone who is part of his team. Also if found Guilty can future charges still be filed?
This man has to pay.. and pay dearly. Him, and ANYONE who somehow led MJ to believe that Propofol was ok and could be used in his home as long as a DR was present and led him to believe it was the answer to his insomnia nightmare.
Clearly MJ was not a Doctor, He was desperate, Insomnia is Painful.. But he did want to be safe, thats why he hired a Doctor to administer it an stay with him all night to watch him. Im sure he didnt know that certain measures had to be in place to use this drug safely, especially since none were.

It was MURDER..perhaps not 1st degree but Murder all the same.

Yes, the doctor definitely should have said "no" to Michael when he asked him for drugs. That's what doctors are supposed to do, not have the patient dictate to him and tell him what he wants in the way of drugs. Who was the doctor, anyway? Was Michael the doctor?

His doctor is responsible for his death. It's manslaughter in the 1st degree. Then he goes to Michael's tomb to make it look like he was a dedicated doctor. Huh. What a phoney, pretending to care. Why wasn't he there checking on Michael after giving him such a strong drug if he cared about his patient?
