First of all, 5.4 million viewers is a generous number to credit Leno with. In his final season of the TS, he was getting around 4.9 - 5.1 mil viewers. And now in prime time, he's currently getting about 4.5 mil.
During Conan's run at the TS, he had 2.6 mil viewers; Dave has 4.4 mil. That's 7 mil combined.
7 million >> 5.4 million

why is Leno the bad guy? Conan didn't make the ratings and it is his fault. I personally don't care for Conan because i think he is silly and that is not whay i want from my late night show. Conan is for the frat parties and drunks coming home from the bars, so he does need to be on later. Shame on NBC thinking Conan could carry the Tonight Show because he couldn't. So people get off Jay back its not his fault. NBC should never had put Conan in that spot.

Butterfly, are you seriously making some kind of comparison between Jay Leno and Jesus Christ? Really? Well, yeah, it would take some kind of biblical miracle to make anyone with any taste (including Conan fans) think Leno had an ounce of talent. On the other hand, if you ask me, some kind of pact with Satan is obviously behind latern-jaw Leno's staying on air for almost 20 years and knocking Dave and Conan out of the same job.
