Barry's a treasure. Sinatra once passed the baton and said "He's next". It doesn't really matter whether Manilow's gay. His sweet music reminds us of a time when songwriters could write ear candy melodies and not the brain dead, tone deaf noise of modern dreck.
It's obvious he's had work done, and it's a shame he felt the necessity to do it. But that's his choice. The man is a nice guy, a hugely talented and knowledgable musician and performer, and he's a survivor in a business that more than ever can eat you up alive. He's outlasted most of his arrogant, imperious (not to mention idiotic) critics. Who cares what he's had done or not done? Who cares if he's gay or not gay? He keeps on going and giving, and that is all that counts. I've enjoyed his music for decades, and I hope he will keep performing and creating for decades longer.
What did you expect? His face to stay the same? C'mon it's been 30 years and he IS still a recording music star. And stars always put effort to look good in front of the public eye. Go Barry Manilow! Your music lives on...
