Andrew Koenig's Parents Bail on Larry King

2/25/2010 12:52 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Larry KingThe parents of missing "Growing Pains" star Andrew Koenig left the studio right before their interview tonight on "Larry King Live" ... and not even Larry King knows why.

It happened at the end of the show. When Larry came back from a commercial break, he announced Walter Koenig from "Star Trek" and his wife had abruptly left the Vancouver studio where they were going to be interviewed.

Larry said they left "for some reason, unbeknownst to anyone."

Let's hope for the best.

So harsh. The reason his parents left was because they were invited to be interviewed about their missing son,BUT,good OLD LARRY decided that the "breaking news"about a Killer whale killing a trainer was more important.THERE IS A REASON WHY THEY ARE CALLED KILLER WALES!I feel bad for the trainer and her family, but this is the 3rd person that this particular whale has killed.Shouldn't that say something about Seaworld's policies?????As a parent,I would feel insulted too.Never mind the fact that your child is missing, grown or not,the Seaworld story wasn't going anywhere. The longer someone is missing, the chances of finding them alive lessen every day.Larry should have interviewed them first, then gone on about how tragic it was for a woman to be killed by an 8,000lb.predatory animal.

I think it is obvious that Koenig was contemplating suicide. But thinking about it and doing it are two entirely different things. Supposedly he has been sighted in Vancouver.
Anyway, is it possible that Larry King is so stupid that he doesn't know why Koenig's parents (Chekov from Star Trek) told the camera crew to leave? Larry had a scheduled interview with them - which the Koenig son probably would be watching if he is still alive. What message would it put in Koenig's head to see that his story was shoved back 5 times and would have been nothing buy a sound byte at the end of Larry's broadcast? Such a snub could very well TRIGGER a suicide. If so, let's stick Larry in jail for involuntary manslaugter. Hey Larry, this is for you, when you got a LIVE person whose parents are enduring the most painful crisis imaginable, you DON'T bump them and cover some story of someone who is already dead from getting a whale too horny and excited.

Ambassador Spock

Why can't Dr. McCoy save Boner like he saved his dad in ST IV? Oh wait, Dr. McCoy is dead...Am I confusing reality with film again?

Rest in peace, dear Andrew. I know the pain of complete and utter bleak hopelessness and believe that sometimes it just can't be fixed. My thoughts are with you and your family and friends.

Larry King is a Dbag making them wait and wait until there was nothing but 3min left to speak on their missing son. A big thanks for nothing to him and may he receive the same when one of his spawn starts going down the rabbit hole.
