Girlfriend Fears 'Inglourious Basterds' Star

3/23/2010 2:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The actor who plays the British Lieutenant in "Inglourious Basterds" allegedly broke his ex-girlfriend's nose after a night of heavy boozing ... and now she wants protection from a judge, and stat.

Michael Fassbender
's ex -- Sunawin Andrews -- filed a petition for a restraining order against him earlier this month in L.A. County Superior Court.

In the documents, Andrews claims Michael hit the bottle hard during a film festival in July of 2009 -- and after he woke up in a puddle of his own urine, he became violent and "threw me over a chair breaking my nose."

Andrews also says Michael allegedly dragged her alongside their car one night after they had an argument about one of her ex-boyfriends ... causing her to twist her left ankle, blow out her left knee cap and burst an ovarian cyst.

Andrews says she fears for her life and wants to keep Michael 100 yards away from herself and her two children -- and wants over $20,000 to help her pay her medical bills from the injuries he allegedly caused.

Repeated attempts to reach Michael's agent were unsuccessful.

yeah shes a stupid **** who has done this to several others in her pasts as well, boyfriends who break up with her, then they somehow make a bit of money and as soon as they do she throws these ridiculous charges of assault at them -- and around when inglourious was at cannes, they ended up breaking up later on and then much much later she comes up with this story as hes getting even more famous and then comes out with this totally ******* ridiculous story about him dragging her along the car and her knee popping out and her ankle twisted and an OVARIAN CYST BURSTING? wtf are u kidding me? really now? its just so ******* stupid.

I love living in a world where a victim of domestic violence can be called a "hoe" and people will just say dumb **** like "but why does the bitch stay with him?"... do you morons even know how domestic violence works? It's not about the bruises, it's about the CONTROL. You have such CONTROL over someone, someone in a constant state of insecurity, that they cannot afford to leave. But hey, he's so hot. She must be a total slut to keep him, right? And, like, having children with him? Oh man, the hoe wanted nothing more than money. Obviously.

"Why did she wait a year before taking legal action?"
The article says that the FIRST drunken incident happened in July 2009 and the second happened later.
It looks like she filed the Restraining Order straight after the second assault.

Maybe she overlooked one attack when he was drunk, but a second confirmed that he was a violent person.

Also, Leasi Andrews is an actor and model herself, and so wouldn't need to take $20,000 from him (or if she needed money, she could ask for a lot more)

I'm not one to take assult lightly, but there is so little evidence for this. It was reported that she's accused this of 3 (I think) men before Fassbender and all charges were dropped, and as everyone else has pointed out; why would they get back together especially with her kids around? I don't know, but I'm unwilling to believe this seriously until there's an official police report or some other evidence.

Clearly there's still a lot of ignorance and victim blaming when it comes to male violence against women and children. Trauma and fear can influence the behavior of victims, which might explain why she didn't leave or report the crimes immediately. I don't know why people find it so hard to believe women when they make allegations of violence. You only have to watch the news for five minutes to see what a problem male violence is all around the world. It seems that no other crime victims are doubted so readily or held up to such scrutiny as female victims of male violence.
