Justin Bieber's Manager

Tweet Crime?

3/24/2010 10:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned Justin Bieber's manager turned himself in to police this morning -- and it's all over unlawful Tweets ... allegedly.

Tweet Crime

Scott "Scooter" Braun surrendered on two misdemeanor charges -- reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance -- stemming from an incident at a mall in November.

The incident which triggered the matter occurred last November at the Roosevelt Field mall when fans got out of control and at least one girl was hospitalized.

We're told cops asked Braun to Tweet that the event had been canceled but they say he refused to do so.

Braun faces one year in jail if convicted.

UPDATE: The Bieb himself is finally weighing in -- Justin just posted the following Tweet: "You've got my total support @scooterbraun Wish you were here in Chicago with us #FreeScooter"

UPDATE 3:05 PM EST: Braun has entered a not guilty plea for both charges in Nassau County Criminal Court in New York.

LOL, why couldn't the cops just use the PA system in the mall to tell people the event was cancelled? They expect a tweet to stop the crowd, how many people are using twitter while standing in a crowd?

I worry for this kid.

I find it eerie that the same month that canadian child star Corey Haim dies, is the same month canadian month another canadian child star Justin Bieber's fame is going to new levels. Plus is album is dropping the same month.

Beware the Ides of March!!!

I agree. This is a BS story. There are some facts missing here. Cops can't 'make' you tweet.

Does this mean that production of the new ABC smash sitcom "Scooter & the Bieb" is now in jeopardy?

Manger number 2 who manages a teenager behind bars, but for different reasons.

I remember when the Sprouse Twins manager got put in jail for child pornography. I know its different, but these managers who manage these kids need to be careful what they do if they wanna keep their jobs in the entertainment business managing stars.

In a big event like this and the cops asked for the managers to tweet for the cancellation of an even they will pop in and tell them to do that.

If the fans went out of control why then isn't it the fault of the fans for acting out of lack of self control?
Also isn't the mall responsible for mall security and crowd control?
The managers lawyer will laugh his way through this one I'd bet.

Why does Bieber still sound like a girl? He's 16 years old, for God's sake. Time to see an endocrinologist.

What is missing here? How can someone be charged for not posting to a social networking site? That some new US law they made up one night or sumpin. Justin should just stay in Canada and forget about the fools south of the boarder.

Good showing on Dave last night, Justin. I wished he'd had some time to talk on-air with you but maybe next time?
