Conrad Murray - Michael Was Alive at UCLA

3/30/2010 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned doctors who worked on Michael Jackson at the UCLA Medical Center ran two EKGs on the singer, and at least one doctor who interpreted the results claims there was heart rhythmic activity both times.

Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray
Furthermore, sources tell TMZ Dr. Conrad Murray insists he was able to restart Jackson's heart at the singer's home before paramedics arrived and then maintained heart activity in the ambulance.

Dr. Murray's evaluation contradicts paramedics at the scene who wanted to take Jackson to the morgue, not UCLA, because they believed he was dead.

It also contradicts Joe Jackson's lawyer, Brian Oxman, who tells TMZ he believes Jackson was dead even before paramedics arrived at the house. Oxman says the weak pulse detected at UCLA was in reaction to resuscitation efforts.

We're told the criminal case is shaping up as a legal war between medical experts, who will be interpreting medical tests and charts in various ways -- always confusing for a jury.

Mimi that IS an excellent article isn't it?! I read & put it up on here some while ago. It really says it all doesn't it? A 'perversion' of the doc/patient relationship takes place. Thank you for posting it:)

Why the Jackson family dispense the security guard who spoke the truth about Dr. Murray? Another question unanswered ..

"Always confusing to a jury." The more confusion the better because that means more of a chance of reasonable doubt and, as a result, a not guilty verdict. Just think...not guilty. It will mean that Dr. Murray isn't a murderer and that MJ was never murdered. At least it will mean that if we use the logic MJ fans have shown in the past.

If there was any signs of life at the time the paramedics arrived they would not have been driving at a snails pace, we could have gotten Michael to the medical center quicker if we had put him on our backs at the rate those ambulances were going. If anything I have to agree with the medical team and that there was no signs of life when they arrived, bringing him to the medical center was merely a formality. There not just going to dump him off at a morgue before being evaluated by an actual medical doctor regardless if the patient is already dead. Dr. Murray your toast!

Hi Ya janalal4

Yes I too thought it to be a great article. It seems there are so many people who just do not understand the complicated dynamics that can exist between Dr & patient.

The article also helps to reinforce that in the end all responsibility lies within the doctor to just say NO!

Yes, I think the way he behaved at the trial is strong proof that he wouldn't fake his death. He turned himself in to the police, got handcuffed and paid bail, sat through his trial and went to hear the verdict. That verdict could have been 20 years in prison, which few believed he would survive. But he didn't run away, he went into the courthouse.

He was acquitted at all counts, but came out a broken man. The pictures of him that day are heartbreaking. He looked like he had been crying for a week, he was unable to smile.

This arrogant man is really starting to make me physically ill. Sociopath all the way, at least deport him if he doesn't get convicted.

No, what it will mean is that by a preponderance of the evidence that Murray was found to be 'not guilty'.

I think that most fans have made up their minds about MJ's not guilty verdict not by the verdict alone but by looking at all the 'facts' in their totality: the character of the person in question, the 'character' of the families involved, the evidence presented at trial, not to mention that of all the THOUSANDS of children who visitted Neverland: Where are all the 'other victims'??

We're not all that 'simple-minded'.

Its so sad but True, I don't think we'll ever learn the truth about what really happened that night, Dr. Murray will take that to his grave just like MJ did.
