Michael Jackson -- The Eyes Have It

4/6/2010 4:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson's eyes could be powerful evidence in favor of Dr. Conrad Murray.

Michael Jackson -- The Eyes Have It

TMZ broke the story -- Dr. Murray's lawyers will argue Jackson accidentally killed himself by self-injecting a lethal dose of Propofol into his bloodstream. As we reported, Dr. Murray says he left the bedroom for a short time, came back in and saw Michael with his eyes wide open and pupils dilated.

Medical experts who spoke with TMZ say if a patient is sleeping and dies of an overdose, their eyes most likely would not be open. The defense position -- Jackson woke up when Murray was out of the room, became frustrated he couldn't sleep, grabbed the Propofol bottle and "pushed it" -- killing himself.

If a jury believes Jackson's eyes were open, they could also believe Jackson was awake and, perhaps, capable of grabbing the Propofol bottle which was on the nightstand.

I knew something was awry when Alvarez said MJ's eyes and mouth were open. Isn't possible because MJ would have had to die peacefully in his deep highly sedated sleep. Too unconscious to wake up when he stopped breathing because if he did, he could have saved himself because Murray was due back in the room in less than one minute--that is if Murray was out of the room for just two minutes.

Something else in this milk is not clean.

9. I agree Jeanine, this is flimsy evidence, at best. Someone with a medical background posted here that after death the eyes will open ON THEIR OWN. Which means MJ was probably deceased far longer than Murray is admitting. That is what the paramedics reportedly believed, that he was deceased, and had been for some time before they got there. And whose word besides Murrays do we have that this is how MJ was found? No one's. Alvarez was not in the room at the time Murray first saw MJ.

I have to agree here. If Dr. Murray didn't lift his eyelids to check his pupils, they very well could have opened after death. A friend of mine was in a coma and his eyes were closed. His sister and I were at his bedside when he died, and I will never forget the thing that creeped me out, aside from the fact that he was dead, was that his eyes spontaneously opened.

Well I'm sure the prosecution wouldn't be pushing this case if they didn't have evidence to the contrary. In the beginning I had compassion for Dr. Murray but he seems arrogant and shows no remorse. He accepts no responsibility for his part in the death of another human being. If one were to argue that MJ was an addict then the burden should fall heavily on a doctor who we assumed to be in his right mind and not sick like an addict. A doctor who took an oath. Dr. Murray should lose his medical license. He didn't have money to pay his baby mamas child support but he gave money to strippers and young women. He was in a financial mess before he came into contact with MJ and is morally corrupt. Dr. Murray values his license more than anything to make money and get women. Therefore, he should lose it because he abused all that it stood for. The "good" doctor knew what he was getting into and his actions on the morning of June 25th demonstrated a consciousness of guilt. This trial will be the battle of the experts. In the end, we can only hope the truth will be forthcoming. Dr. Murray's story has changed. If one is speaking the truth that doesn't happen. No matter what the outcome, he should lose his medical license.

15. OMG .....This is total BS. What next Murray....He walked downstairs and got his beet juice, walked upstairs, peed in his jar, filled himself with propofol and you found him with his eyes open. Gee if he could inject himself with propofol your job would be redundant wouldn't it???? He was clearly paying you $149,000 a month too much! What a creep you are Murray.

Finally someone with some sense...Thanks lee lee.
If MJ could inject himself...why in the heck would he need this loser...because if you look at it...Murray still wasn't/didn't monitor him...and MJ died anyway....so what the *uck!!!

It doesn't matter. Dr. Murray wasn't forthright with paramedics on what he had administered. He also didn't call for help right away. He delayed to cover up.

Like Harvey said yesterday, "It only takes ONE to have reasonable doubt."
With Michael's KNOWN... LONG TERM drug abuse, I really believe this is going to be a hard case to prove. That 40% saying it was "PLAUSIBLE" yesterday tells it all.
I've seen STRANGE things when it comes to the legal system. OJ???
It's going to be an interesting one to watch play out.

The reason his eyes were open, if this is true, is because rigor mortis had set in. So this confirms the paramedics assessment.

It sounds like the defense is trying to get their 'excuses' in place so that they can get Murray off the hook....even if the jury says he is NOT GUILTY or GUILTY...Murray will NEVER PRACTICE AGAIN once the Attorney General of CA gets him...once that's done Texas, and Nevada will follow suit..

Plus possible wrongful death suit against MJ's family....and the fact that he has to walk amongst society knowing MJ fans will haunt him for the rest of his life...he is a dead man walking....

Prosecution needs to step it up in this case, not only for JUSTICE FOR MJ...but to let Doctors know that if you treat a celebrity of any sort-you DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT to give them WHATEVER they want.
