Ben Roethlisberger -- No Charges

4/12/2010 2:41 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0305_ben_roethlisberger_getty_95099599_bn.jpg Ben Roethlisberger will not be charged for sexual assault over an alleged incident on March 5 in Milledgeville, Georgia.

According to prosecutor Fred Bright -- the alleged victim wrote a letter on March 17, in which she stated that she no longer wanted to pursue the case.

During his investigation, Bright claims "everyone" agreed that both Ben and his accuser were highly intoxicated on March 5 when they went into the bathroom at Capital City nightclub.

Bright said there are still "significant questions about what occurred" in the bathroom ... but Ben will not be prosecuted.

Bright said after the alleged incident, the woman went to a local hospital where a doctor and two nurses examined her and found "a superficial laceration," bruising and bleeding in the genital area.

Bright said the woman told doctors "a boy kinda raped me" -- but Bright said the doctor could not definitively say if the woman's injuries were the result of a sexual assault.

Bright said Ben initially claimed that the woman fell and hit her head in the bathroom -- but after she arrived at the hospital, doctors found no trauma to the woman's head. After that, Bright says Ben's agent stepped in and said the quarterback wouldn't answer questions with an attorney present.

Oh tlynn, did I offend you? Wow, you can sure dish the talk but can't take it eh? Grow up.

Just because the girls you mentioned were white, doesn't mean it's a "typical white girl thing" because those girls are far from "Typical". If the girls were black and you said "typical black girl thing" that still would be just as wrong to say.

It's like me saying "tlynn - typical dumb girl thing"?? Not very nice but hey, I guess I'm just calling it as I see it?

Since you obviously don't know how to read between the lines, my point was that too many people put color into these issues, when really it's just a bad person making a bad decision. Whether they got off or not, in the end, they will get what's coming to them.

In not advocating Bens actions but Im not defending the accuser either. Ben may have bought her drinks when she is "under age" but come on, she is not a child. At 20 years old she could be enlisted in one of the branches of the US armed forces. Clearly NOT a child. They met "at a bar" therefore she was in more than one local establishment already drinking. The bar were the incident happened was a "popular college bar" yet no one else was in the ladies room but them? Please...we all know the ladies room even at a movie theatre is never empty. So he forcefully raped her in the bathroom of a bar and no one saw or heard anything to act as a creditable witness in front of a 12 person jury? Yea, ok. A woman, as a 20 year old is a legal "adult" with any credibility would not have made a claim for rape and seek charges in the public eye to later change her mind. Whether she was paid off or not, putting a "rapist" behind bars would be my priority and "accepting money" for "sex" = "a prostitute". That's not rape. Enough said.

Ben is in no way responsible for this girl's underage drinking. If the state of Georgia allows minors into bars, that is the state of Georgia's fault. If they don't allow minors in bars and she got in, that's the bar's fault. And her choosing to drink, knowing it's against the law at her age, is HER fault. None of it is Ben's fault or Ben's responsibility. I'm sure he didn't even know whether she was 20, 21 or 22. How would he?

Furthermore, she was following him to different bars like a puppy dog and according to witnesses, saying very sexual things to him. I don't know what happened in the bathroom, but you can't act like a drunk slut and then be shocked when something bad happens. Women need to take responsibility for themselves.

What he needs to do is:
Be sentenced to go on a real date with a real woman and be made to be really treat her decent..that alone would be major punishment...
I am guessing he has NEVEr ever ever been on a real DATe or spent money on a steady woman?
I mean has he/
i did hear he likes CHEERLEADERS?
Aren't there any GROUPIEs for this guy who keep their favorite players entertained/
why does he not spend some cash on a rlationship like in "PRETTY WOMAN? there must be a woman who he can pay to stay with him..
i mean if a nasty guy like in Pretty woman can do it surely BEn can?
Again...
sentence him to a steady relationship.
That would be punishment enough cuz this dude never had one..

ben does need to be punished for his actions. i am a huge steelers fan, always have been and always will be. what he did was wrong, regardless of consent or non-consent. they were both wrong. i believe she saw BIG $$$$$$$ signs flashing. figured here was her way to be set financially, so she went for it... this isn't the first time this happened to Ben and more than likely it won't be the last.
i believe the steelers management should get rid of him. he's overrated quarterback and all he does is makes the best football team in the world look bad. we don't need that in pittsburgh. grow up ben and stay the hell out of bars, especially around underage money hungry sleeze bags like this one.

Coraopolis, PA, police officer Anthony Barravecchio and PA state trooper Edward Joyner both need to be investigated fully as they were with Ben the night of the sexual attack on the young woman and kept help from getting to her. Charge both of these guys unless they want to spill their guts about their part in the criminal abuse. Neither should be law enforcement officers.
