O.J. Simpson Gets a Break Today

4/12/2010 7:21 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

O.J. Simpson was cut a break today, TMZ has learned.

The Nevada Supreme Court ruled it wants to hear oral arguments from lawyers in his robbery and kidnapping case.

Simpson, who was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 33 years in prison, is asking the Nevada Supremes to overturn the conviction.  The Nevada Supreme Court typically does not grant oral argument, but today the justices decided it wanted to hear from the attorneys.

The ruling suggests the justices have something on their minds that legal briefs alone won't satisfy.  Simpson's lawyers have argued the whole jury selection process was tainted and the only two African-American jurors were excluded by prosecutors.

Simpson's lawyer, Yale Galanter, tells TMZ, "We are elated and look forward to answering all of the Court's questions."

This is the worse case of miscarriage of justice in recent American history. O.J. Simpson was, clearly, unjustly found guilty of a crime He did not commit. It is time for The Supreme Court of Nevada to set O.J. Simpson Free.

I don't believe what I am reading here. This is the US were OJ was acquited does that not mean he was found not guilty? Right or wrong that was the ruleing of the court. Give it up he don't deserve to be in prison for that crime our courts found him not guilty. People that make those kind of statments must be the same stupid people that voted Obummer into office, what is wrong with american people that think this way?

#7 by Whatever - I agree with you in your observations. I would add that Fuhrman's testimony actually points in a different direction than OJ. At the scene of the glove at Rockingham there is no way that glove could be still wet and left by OJ. His testimony only makes sense if the glove was dropped by someone on the other side of the hedge by the person that Fuhrman heard when he went outside. Footprints were found on the other side of the hedge. This highlights the fact that no sign of OJ were found there.
One should read 'The Glove' by Yedowicz for his glove theory.

OJ Simpson should be freed immediately. He had done nothing wrong, and was set up to make it look bad. All of his accusers were of a different race than he, and the judge should have thrown the case out on civil rights grounds in the beginning (before more accusers of his race could be added in). I was told that he simply went to a room to get back some of his possessions. It is unfair to prosecute and jail him for that.
