'American Chopper' Son -- Out to Destroy Dad

4/15/2010 1:55 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The oldest son from "American Chopper" has escalated the war against his father by opening up a rival motorcycle business -- and he's making the whole thing incredibly personal.

TMZ has learned Paul Teutul Jr. is starting a competing shop to go head-to-head with his dad's Orange County Choppers shop.

But here's the catch -- Junior has recruited a bunch of disgruntled employees who left his dad's place ... including his brother Mikey Teutul and friends Vinnie DiMartino, Robert "Nub" Collard and Joe Puliafico.

We're told Senior has no idea about the mutiny ... that is, until now.

Maybe after the shop gets set up Jr can hire Sr to yell and kick trash cans around. If Sr won't do it, they'll just have to contract with the local zoo to provide a gorilla to do it.

Their bikes suck anyways. Riding one of them is like getting an enema while reaching forward trying to control a trackter at speed. The enema is the only good thing about riding one of these things except the pictures you take at gatherings which you haul your bike in on a trailer because they are art or some ****.

I thought Vinnie already had his own company. Every reality show turns into a nightmare for the participants. Money and fame make them all go crazy

Looks like TLC decided it was stupid to cancel the cash cow that was American Chopper and put it back on the air, but with their latest reality TV show twist ala "LA (st)Ink". They setup up another competing shop that hires all the disgruntled ex employees from the first and they go back and forth between the two shops as they talk **** about each other for ratings. Just when you thought American Chopper couldn't get any lamer and more fake then it already is, TLC brings back the New Improved American Chopper "Now with 30% more staged BS and even less bike building then before!". Yawn...

Only good thing i see here is Vinnie is finally getting his chance to make a windfall with a TLC contract. The way it was before he was just an employee of the shop who never got a contract with TLC, Paul Sr. wouldn't pay him what he deserved despite being an integral part of the TV show, and he had to put up with all the BS drama while working his ass off too, while also watching the Teutels get rich beyond their wildest dreams. Talk about a bitter pill to swallow! No wonder he split, surprised he hung in there as long as he didn't. And when he did crack Paul Sr. acted like Vinnie stabbed him in the back, LOL, look in the mirror Sr. that's what you did to Vinnie and why he left.

Some of you people have no clue. This has nothing to do with TLC. This Family was screwed the min Sr got hair on his nuts.

They been like this before the show, money, etc.

The new show has been in the works for a year now. Jr didn't want tot do it and wasn't till Sr sued him. Jr has been on many shows talking about it and just relaxing for a few years. He doesn't need to work since he has money out the ass and still a huge chunk of ownership in OCC.

The biker build off was pretty much killed when Indian Larry died... it was too sad losing him for the show maker I guess.

please

What do you expect him to do? He builds bikes, he has to make a living and he can't do it alone.
Why should he have to work for his father?
It's obviously time for them to go another direction.

GOOD JOB, Paul Jr. i did watch the show and his dad is nothing but a control freak. i grew up in a home like that and i'm dealing with it today. a father that would not listen to his kids and thinks he is the best and knows everything. well, the kids are meant to be better than their parents and Paul Jr. you are. do your thing.

you guuys must've gotten something wrong, Vinnie and Cody have their own business, V-Force Customs and their own TV show, I doubt either one will have anything to do with working with/for Jr. Also, this will be a new show on TLC. Check pauljrdesigns web site or the TLC forums for more info.

The father started all this by bringing a law suit to his son, so this is sweet revenge for junior, I hope he does well, his bikes are phenominal!

Democrats are evil

If this is genuine, what an incredible example of ungratefulness and selfish behavior. Daddy may be a loud mouth jerk but he taught them a skill and gave them opportunities to become wealthy as well as gaining celebrity. But then he also taught them how to be loud mouth jerks themselves. Aren't they from Jersey? Home of the elitist democrat. What else do you expect from a democrat. In the end, it's probably just a TLC publicity stunt.
