As a prepubescent girl it was fun to watch Tab Hunter, Troy Donahue, Pat Boone, Mike Clifford, Brian Hyland, Lou Christie, Jimmy Clanton, Bobby Vee, Dion and all of the "dreamy" teen idols who starred in period movies, appeared on AMERICAN BANDSTAND or both.
Tab's "Young Love" was probably one of the earliest records I heard, even though it dovetailed with Sonny James' own hit version.
Hunter's autobiography is not to be missed!

I loved the movie "Damn Yankees." Loving baseball, movies, and morality plays, I probably saw it 20 times when I was very young. One of the more sad experiences in my life was to meet Tab Hunter when I was a waiter. I told him I loved that movie. All he did the entire evening was stare at my package.
