Kicked Off Flight

for Being 'Disruptive'

4/30/2010 9:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0430-santonio-holmes-bn-getty-01More problems for New York Jets receiver Santonio Holmes -- dude was kicked off of a Continental Airlines flight late last night after investigators say he was being a "disruptive passenger."

According to WPXI.com, it all went down at Pittsburgh International Airport. The details of the incident are still unclear, but we're told Holmes was not arrested.

The former Super Bowl MVP was recently traded to the Jets after a string of legal issues -- most recently he was sued for allegedly throwing a glass at a woman's face inside of an Orlando nightclub.

UPDATE: NY Jets coach Rex Ryan claimed the whole thing was misunderstanding over Santonio's iPod.

Ryan said, "Let's face it, he should've turned off his iPod."

kind of like the spitting on the sidewalk routine, if its not stopped it just escalates to a more final solution, like murder. same with not turning off your ipod when requested/ordered to by Federal requirements... he's one of those dudes thinks the civil war is still being fought for his rights kind of thinking....look around Holmes, you're more freer than anyone you were ever related to and you've imprisoned yourself with drug abuse and a tude. A vile, hateful, vengeful, self destructive human being who happens to be able to run around in an open field.

Too bad the Rooneys took so long to dump you and their silence and inaction on Big Bens punishment is deafening. Get going Rooneys, clean house now that you started with this ipod drug addict.

Guess you be NYC's problem now. Dont do a Plaxico while there, they dont play in NYC courts.

What a dumbass... I hate people like this. When they say over the intercom to turn off electronic devices... you do it. It may or may not interfere with the airplane ,but it doesn't matter you follow directions regardless if your a celebrity or not. If he wanted to do it anyways he should of bought his own jet. Until then, follow the rules like anyone else. What a douche bag. Somehow he will twist it into either a racial or a poor me deal.

One thing I don't like is people who won't abide by the rules when flying. To me, it's already dangerous as heck and for someone to ignore the pilot or stewardesses, makes me IRATE.

Bad move by the JETS, if he can't follow simple instructions on a plane, i can't imagine he would do any better on the field...

I don't know the cir***stances but I do know that there are a few flight attendants out there who are looking for problems.

If you get in a argument with a rude waitress usually the manager steps in and you get a different waitress.

If you get in a argument with a rude flight attendant they call you a disruptive passenger and call the authorities

Sad to see the Jets have become so desperate for a winning season that they'll scour the trash heap for miscreants like Santonio. Only a few months till the season starts, let's see if he can make it without an arrest for DUI, gun possession, drugs or a strip club brawl. The good news is that merchandise sales will go up as local hoodlums in Hempstead and Freeport LI will have a new jersey to add to their collection.
