TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan's new lawyer isn't her new lawyer anymore ... people connected with him say it's because he wouldn't work for free ... but we're hearing a very different story.
Stuart V. Goldberg met with Lindsay, Dina and Ali on Friday night and it was a done deal, until he got a call over the weekend from Lindsay's business manager, Lou Taylor, who said they just couldn't afford him ... this is all according to Goldberg's camp.
But on the Lindsay side, it's a whole other story. Let's just say that even Dina and Lindsay decided Goldberg was ... how do we say it nicely ... a little eccentric. How 'bout a license plate with letters that reveal the word, "Snake Charmer."
The new leader in the clubhouse? We hear it's none other than O.J. Simpson's former lawyer, Robert Shapiro. Hey, Shapiro helped get a killer off, so maybe not such a bad idea.

What planet are Lindsey & Dina on? Did they think any attorney would accept an IOU as payment?
WHY is it sooo hard to convict a so called "celebrity" in LA????....She has digraced the court with her f-u fingernail...her scram devise went off...She's been arrested for the same offense multiple times..Still going to clubs ..If it was me or you...meaning the tax-paying public, we would be in jail so fast your head would spin.....O.J, Brittny, Paris , Nicole Richie,..Who am I forgetting????...The list is sooo long ...JUSTICE AND IT'S PENALTIES SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE...Patty

Considering the fact that Dina Lohan thinks her daughter is sober, and the fact that Lindsay Lohan thinks she can appeal her proven probation violation ("I didn't know" is not a credible defense), something tells me no one is too cooky for the Lohans, and the story from Stuart's camp makes far more sense. Of course Stuart might have checked the Lohan finances BEFORE flying out but hey, a little extra press is priceless and he sure got his money's worth out of his trip.
They probably thought publicity would be enough of a lure but Lindsay and her mommy are too delusional to realize they are 100% going to lose this appeal and therefore publicity re: losing a case is not enough to make anyone take the job.
What's that sound? Is it a jail door clanging shut or is it Lindsay Lohan's last six nickels rattling around in a jar?
Like Michael Jackson, I'm afraid Lindsay is worth more dead than alive at this point.

Lindsay Lohan started modeling when she was 3-years-old. Her parents had ‘custody’ of her money at least until she was 18-years-old. Where is that money and the record of its coming and going?
Her parents stole her money for 15 years. They should be up on felony criminal charges as serial embezzlers. Child abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal neglect, grand larceny.
Children have a right to be safe in their own homes. Lindsay never was. She was a pice of meat her parents squeezed like a dish rag for all the ill-gotten cash they could rip her off for.
She is “a control freak feeling out of control”? Wouldn’t you be after 24 years of those parents?
Who do you think is feeding her those near lethal mixes of “legal prescription drugs”? Her mother. That’s some mother! That’s some parent! That’s some lady!
Lindsay needs to be put away, she is nothing but wasted space who thinks she is Gods gift to the earth.. get over urself, and go away, im tired of hearing about her, shes crazy. Shes guilty, and deserves jail time just like ANYONE ELSE!!!

I dont even know why she is bothering. When you take probation your due process rights get tossed. There isnt anything a lawyer can do now but appeal the sentence to a higher court.
