Drug, Sex, Homophobia Allegations on 'House' Set

7/20/2010 6:25 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Cocaine ... guns ... sex ... and knife play -- all part of life behind the scenes on the show "House M.D." ... this according to a new lawsuit filed by a bitter ex-employee.

0720_house_doc_launch_EX_2

In a lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, a former assistant prop master named Carl Jones claims he was fired from the show in March ... because he didn't go along with the "degenerate conduct" of his superiors.

In the suit, Jones claims he was harassed by two of his supervisors for refusing to engage in "visits to strip bars, participation in getting drunk, stoned or intoxicated on cocaine, to participate in sexual conduct at the trailer, and other dangerous conduct."

Jones claims the supervisors would often refer to him -- and other employees -- as "fags, pussies, bitches, slaves, dummies, retards and idiots."

Jones also claims one of his supervisors brought a gun to the set "several times" ... but it gets even crazier.

In the docs, Jones claims he watched his supervisors get drunk on tequila and engage in "throwing a knife at a target on set."

Jones claims he tried to report the alleged misconduct to one of the co-executive producers on the show -- but his cries for help were ignored ... and claims he was ultimately "blackballed" from future work on the show.

Jones claims he's become severely depressed and somehow suffered a physical injury as a result of the alleged incidents.

He's suing for more than $1,000,000 in damages.   Universal -- which produces 'House M.D.' -- had no comment.

UPDATE: A rep for NBC Universal tells TMZ, "The lawsuit is without merit."

The rep adds, "It is NBCU's long-standing policy to provide a working environment free from discrimination or harassment of any kind. We also strictly prohibit retaliation or reprisal against anyone who reports or opposes discrimination or harassment."

Not sure why you waited till now to report this situation, thats if it occurred. You are right, you shouldnt have been fired for not participating in their club going, cocaine sniffing demeanor BUT I believe also, just like some people, you lost out on a gr8 show and now because u are unemployed, you want money based on some crap that happened years ago that you didnt bring into the light until now....WOW!

Whaaaaaaaaa?

Give me a F***ING break! What prop guy worth his salt can only find work on one show? He must suck. Hey, I was "Blackballed" too. From my pizza delivery job, the waiter job @ Red Lobster and that hotel on the beach. It's called getting fired. And as for all the punishing pressure to party and *********? He should have used his two legs, middle finger and walked. Maybe he can get a job propping art time at the pre-school down the street. Because that's all ya got left in this town...

I agree with Joe post#78. Carl was half in the bag most days by 11:00 am. The smell of booze was pouring out his body. Maybe he will sober up and realize all his accusations are bull@#$. So glad he is not on the lot anymore. Hope we never see him again!

1 million is too low - despite how great a job you non industry people think working on a set is, laws were broken. Complaints were filed, ignored and its all on record. Too many witness on this case - 4 years worth. Studio and producers did nothing and that's against the law, too. It makes no differences what the court of opinion says here. The only thing that matters is what the jury in the Superior Court in Los Angeles rules. The Cinema-graphic immunity clause that everyone uses won't work in a trial by jury here. It will be no problem proving the claims. This will get settle out of court for big bucks$$$ May the rest of Hollywood be warned, this will open the door for more. So be prepare to see your name on a lawsuit. Hell yes I will turn you in for a million bucks. Most of us just want to do our job, collect our checks and go home. The only people that throw the blackball threat at you are those that have things to hide. So you a**holes that like to bully your crews and departments - we're coming after you, too. Yes YOU! BTW I will hire Carl for having the ethics to stand up and push back. I wonder how many years I have to file and and go back??? KAAA-CHING! I have a big list of names.

Jones speaks the truth and there is so much more going on.
They might want to audit this shows departments.
People are afraid to speak up to Human Resources because
the producers will find out. People need to keep their jobs even if they have to put up with the idiots that are over them.
