TMZ has learned the woman accused of slashing Leonardo DiCaprio's face open with a drinking glass back in 2005 has been extradited back to the United States ... where she will finally face justice.
Sources tell us 40-year-old Aretha Wilson took a flight from Canada to Los Angeles last night accompanied by law enforcement officials. We're told she's currently in custody awaiting trial.
As we previously reported, Wilson is accused of hitting DiCaprio in the face during a house party in the Hollywood Hills in 2005. The party was at the home of Rick Salomon -- Paris Hilton's sex tape partner.
Authorities claim Leo needed 17 stitches to close up his face and ear.
Wilson -- who had been arrested in L.A. and charged with assault with a deadly weapon -- fled the country after the alleged attack.

Guess Leo can't wait to go all Gangs of New York on that chick, for slicing up his face.....
F.u.c.k him. Good. Even the scar would not have helped him be a convincing Viking. Now the real question is what did he do to receive the attack at the party ?
Will Leo star in Mel Gibson's upcoming Viking movie?????
Wow, she can be extradited for slashing Leo's face, yet Roman Polanski gets to stay put...
Supposedly Leo dumped Mel's movie. Who cares, so many better
and better looking actors than him.
Here is information regarding the attack.
Small Courts Bureau
Movie star Leonardo DiCaprio is expected to testify that a Toronto woman accused of throwing a drinking glass at him at a Hollywood Hills party started by yelling profanities at him, according to U.S. prosecutors.
"He turned around and recognized the woman yelling to be Aretha Wilson, a former girlfriend of his friend, Damon Nelson," according to a do***ent filed in Ontario Superior Court.
Wilson, a 39-year-old former model now living in Scarborough, was granted bail yesterday by Justice Faye McWatt.
She had been held at the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton after Toronto police arrested her Monday night on a warrant at the request of L.A. police for extradition to face a charge of assault with a deadly weapon against DiCaprio.
Among the conditions of her release, she must have no contact with DiCaprio or Rick Salomon, the former boyfriend of Paris Hilton who hosted the party where the assault allegedly took place, in the early morning of June 17, 2005. She also had to hand over her passport and abide by an 11 p.m. curfew.
She returns July 16 to set a date for an extradition hearing.
A publication ban was placed on all evidence at the bail hearing.
But, according to the "record of the case for the prosecution" submitted by Los Angeles County deputy district attorney Carol Burke, DiCaprio is expected to testify that he replied to Wilson, as she swore at him, to get her to stop yelling at him, but that she "only became more aggressive and agitated."
DiCaprio went to leave the party, with Wilson still yelling. "As DiCaprio walked away, he felt liquid hit him on the back of the neck," the do***ent states.
"DiCaprio turned to face Wilson and observed her swing a drinking glass toward the side of his face. The glass struck DiCaprio on the left side of his face."
DiCaprio is expected to testify that his face began bleeding and he went to hospital, and that he was given 17 stitches, according to U.S. authorities. The allegations have not been tested in court.
Both Salomon and DiCaprio identified Wilson in a photo shown to them by police, the do***ent states.
Los Angeles police say they issued an arrest warrant for Wilson in 2005 after she failed to show up at a police station. Last year, she received a suspended sentence and two years probation in a second glass-slashing incident.
After she attacked boyfriend Wyatt Cote, 34, on Feb. 5, 2006, he jumped to his death from an apartment balcony.
Los Angeles police have said that they had to wait for Wilson's case in the Toronto slashing incident to be dealt with before they could seek her extradition.
