In my opinion they should have shook things up a bit more.

If they didn`t already have shows,
Harvey (knows all about celebs and that it factor)
Ex-Look at his staff all unique (it factor)
Wendy Williams ( A radio legend knows her music )
What a personality real, unaffected, also unique.

to me they need a judge in the same vein as Simon-someone who understands the record companies, has experience on the inside track on signing artists, has a finger on the pulse of the music business on the "business" side...marketing, producing, recognizing talent quickly etc.

not the "performance" side of the industry -which the new panel of judges will be too heavy on

Paula had the artistic eye-since she was a performer and top choreographer - but seemed a bit flakey at times
Randy had a pretty good balance with his production and inside the industry skills - even though I'm tired of the "dog" talk and wish he would use a more adult than hip vocabulary
and of course Simon on the business end with skills honed over the years recognizing talent - with his blunt comments that were new to US audiences, moving him from despised to loved in a short time

It was a balance that worked

I don't see Tyler, Lopez and Jackson giving the same chemisty and balance that the original 3 did. Simon we respected because of his ability, strong opinions and great "ear" and I don't see respecting Tyler.

And Lopez can sing, dance and act so even though her experience in those areas is valuable, it puzzles me as to why she'd want the "Paula" role - other than it's a cushy gig, pays well and allows her time with her family that being on the road or long movie shoots would not-- the family reason alone is what I think has driven her decision

Steven is sexxxy no matter how old he gets! Hopefully that show will become a little more rock and a little less pop. I might even start watching it if ST is a judge.

Steven Tylor is too ugly ...O.M.G. if he is on A.I. I will never watch it again.....
