Dr. Frank Ryan's Death

According to law enforcement, Dr. Ryan's Jeep went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway yesterday at around 4:30 PM.  The Jeep landed on rocks and lifeguards initially tried to help Ryan, to no avail.

Ryan, who was 50, was trapped in the vehicle and had major head injuries.  The Ventura County Fire Department tried hoisting Ryan using a helicopter, but the attempt was called off. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Minutes before the crash, Ryan Tweeted, "After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu.  Much harder than it looks!  Whew!"

Ryan's last Tweet before he died, "Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune."  Ryan posted the picture below with his Tweet.  Law enforcement tells us the dog was injured but survived.

Sad. I wouldn't be surprised if his dog caused the wreck and cost him his life. The last time i got ass ended I was sitting at a red light in a construction zone. Some guy went out for an afternoon ride with his lap dog and it jumped up on him. While he was distracted with the dog he crashed into me. If your going to drive around with your dog in the car restrain the damned thing before it get's someone killed!

This sounds callous I know. But what's gonna happen to the dog? Its sad that he's lost his master and is so injured. One minute they were on top of world having fun at the beach and the next, he's gone and the dogs almost lost it's life too. A good friend of mine just told me last week, to let some issues I have with my daughter go, because "you never know, one day their here and the next they could be gone". It's a lesson for all of us, in many many different ways. I hope the Dr. rests in peace.

Very sad loss, but good that the poor dog survived it said. So, top Plastic surgeon to the stars and he drives a JEEP? Either one of his many cars or stars weren't paying their tabs.

Sorry he's dead, but I have no respect at all for what he did for a living, and the results looked artificial.

The truth is: He was pushed over the cliff by Mad Mel Gibson!! 'cause he told Mel sorry with your wrinkled old face no surgeon in the world can help you.

Seems this highway is something worth paying attention to when driving. Mel bashed his car the other day on the same highway.
The boo is having some weird stuff going on. Driving in mountains needs your full undivided attention. Did a tire blow out or something? Keep your eyes on the road. RIP.

If it was hard for a human imagine how hard it was for the dog.

Why are so many quick to assume he was texting while driving?

Unrestrained dogs in cars probably cause more accidents each year, and have been doing so for decades. Or it may have been something else entirely. For all we know the guy was just unlucky and suffered a tire blowout at a bad spot in the road.

Bleh!

Oh, those Jeep Wranglers, especially the older ones, are notorious for flipping on a sharp turn etc. If he was texting and looked up to correct, he could have lost control and flipped this thing easily.

If it was that difficult for him to make it up the dune, and it was all sand, he may have suffered from a heart attack. Nothing is worse than walking in sand, its very tiring, add that to the elevation, his poor heart may have just puckered out.
