Looks like there is no beach there, so if the dog wanted to get away from the vehicle, a natural reaction, especially if it smelled gasoline and if the vehicle was making ghastly sounds, it would go down towards the water, only a few feet away, expecting to look for a way along a beach. That dog's going to have tough dreams for a while.
he was not texting and driving .
NO WAY .
Have some respect .
he did nothing wrong .
check the car for mechanical defects / tampering/ whatever.
rest in peace .
Numerous news agencies are reporting that the CHP have now confirmed that he was indeed texting while driving, immediately prior to the crash. Hopefully his death will serve as a reminder that texting & driving don't mix.
This all started with caveman drawings of killing animals for food. Then we had paintings by the Dutch masters of surgeries and plague victims. Then we have autopsy photos from John F Kennedy with brains, skull bits and blank stares all over the place, but in black and white. Somewhere in there we also had the Vietnam war color photos of real people only half alive after being blown half to bits by grenades (or flamethrowers), staring at the camera in the last gasp of life. Then we had Michael Jackson after surgery, which used to be black but was then a surgically and chemically enhanced white, yet Michael was still alive! Then dozens of Kodadigichrome full-color Frank Ryan death scene photos that don't even show Frank Ryan or the dog.
Out of all those I'd say the Vietnam photos were the most effective at instructing readers about cultural security (and about Texas! Can you say "Evil Dallas Businessmen"?). So something tells me these Frank Ryan photos which don't even show Frank Ryan, won't have lasting impact.
Maybe his dog got excited and jumped on his lap.....or something like that, pertaining to his dog. You never know. I don't think it was texting after all that I have read. Just today there was an article on car accidents caused by having your pet not retrained. Maybe he was trying to save his dog from jumping out.
For those who are accusing him of texting/tweeting: someone form another post stated 23 minutes had passed since the last tweet was recorded. So it doesn't appear to be a text/tweet related incident. So, I guess fate was in God's hands and not his own. May he Rest in Peace.
I cant believe this terrible event! If only he hadnt been texting while driving! I use SMS Replier to make sure I dont text while I drive.. too many people die from distracted driving, and we have got to put a stop to it! check out my blog about it at textkills.com
If if wasn't texting and driving, then what happened. It looks like those rock boulders are pretty big for him to have jumped over with his car. Did they check to see if he had a heart attack?
This is wrong on so many levels, TMZ. I'm sure his family will be happy to learn you are posting these pictures.
Dear Staffers of TMZ --
Ask yourself who the most important person in your life is.. is your spouse? Your son? Your daughter? Now imagine if a site posted these pictures of them on the web. Are you working for the right company? Your bosses will give you a list of reasons to explain their behavior, but this is a Doctor that made a huge mistake, and he paid the ultimate price. I know when you went to school for journalism you took classes in ethics. Just because you have the freedom to post whatever the heck you want doesn't mean you should. This is vile, disgusting, and heartbreaking. I hope the families sue you for distress caused by these pictures, and I hope that a sympathetic jury ensures that you lose.
Respectfully no longer your reader,
Lauren Mize
