Dr. Murray Targets Arnie Klein in MJ Death

9/15/2010 6:12 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Dr. Conrad Murray is going after Michael Jackson's longtime physician and friend, Dr. Arnold Klein, claiming Klein is at least partly to blame for the singer's death and should be a defendant in Joe Jackson's wrongful death lawsuit.

In legal papers filed today and obtained by TMZ ... Dr. Murray challenges Joe Jackson's decision not to name Dr. Klein as one of the physicians allegedly responsible for his son's death.

In the new docs, Murray quotes from Joe's lawsuit, "Dr. Klein may have been medicating Michael Jackson up until or even beyond June 18, 2009, less than one week before Michael Jackson's death."

And Murray continues quoting from Joe's lawsuit that Dr. Klein "prescribed or may have over medicated Michael Jackson including to such point that AEG Live, LLC had to hire Dr. Murray in order to separate Michael Jackson from Arnold Klein."

And Murray goes on to quote Joe's lawsuit which claims "AEG Live, LLC read Michael Jackson the proverbial 'riot act' to get him to stop subjecting himself to overmedication by Dr. Arnold Klein."

So with all that, Dr. Murray concludes, "The plaintiff [Joe Jackson] does not explain why, given these allegations, Dr. Arnold Klein is not a required party to be added to accord proper relief."

In other words ... why didn't Joe sue Arnie?

As TMZ first reported, Dr. Klein shot Michael full of Demerol -- 51 injections in a 3-month span, right up until the week of his death.

Dr. Murray also points the finger at other doctors who treated Michael Jackson, citing TMZ stories revealing that 7 doctors other than Murray were fueling MJ with meds at or near the time of his death.

Murray's team also asked the court to dismiss Joe's wrongful death lawsuit -- claiming Jackson doesn't have the right to file because he's not a beneficiary of MJ's estate.

I agree! Dr. Klein should be prosecuted and held accountable for all the times he supplied and over medicated MJ. Arnie Klein is a terrible physician.

Arnold seems to be not a nice person,he is not a friend of Michael. He has been going around telling weird stories about Mj and his private life.

Michael was a grown man who took these drugs all on his own. At any time he could have looked up the dangers of these medications on-line and have made the decision to quit taking them. As horrible as Drs. Klein and Murray both are, you can't make an addict out of someone who refuses to become one.

Joe Jackson is an idiot.
All he should have said in his legal brief was:
"My son Michael Jackson was murdered, and this man
Conrad Murray is responsible."

I can't believe I just yelled "Yes!" after reading something Conrad Murray said. Taking nothing away from Murray's role in this manner, heck yeah Klein needs to be investigated! While maybe not the one responsible for Michael's death, he certainly seems the one the most to blame for his dependancy.

Yes, Klein should be tried with Murray. Yes, yes, yes

Nothing will happen to Murray. That house was invaded by several people before police went there to search.

His long time Dr. friend who is such a clinger did more wrong as he was seeing him longer. The same one who nows calls MJ homosexual.

Wonder if they tried to get MJJ's fingerprints, and did he have readable ones?

Who knows what happened, there are no tapes. What they can prove is what Arnold did.

Murray was probably set up. The holders of MJJ estate got it made in the shade. They get to control the money with no questions to be asked. Live well thieves.

So many people want to see Murray go down, but chances are Arnie will be the one to hit the floor. He knew exactly what was going on with Michael. And if Michael was really addicted, then that will and it's holders should be tossed.

Prayers are with Jacksons and Murray. Arnie back stabber, don't exhale yet!

On TMZ Live, Klein claimed to have never known Conrad Murray. He also claimed he'd never met him. With no prior communication between the two doctors, someone please explain to me WHY did Murray call Klein's office the morning of June 25, 09? JASON spoke to Murray as Klein says he was not in office yet. A message was taken. WHY DID CONRAD CALL KLEIN's OFFICE on 6-25?? Conrad knows more than we are getting from the media about Klein and this Jason fella. Joseph not going after Klein? Hmm, I'm gonna assume that is because Murray was who was present at the death & the one being charged. Then again, Randy Jackson knows a whole lot more than has been said also.

PS: But then again one has to be in the position to ask for help from/give the pain up to a higher power than doctors or drugs. And unfortunately many aren't in that position.
db, hn, and mymjj5 should be able to provide you with many "quotes" re this situation.
Peace
