Lindsay Lohan

Gets Paid in

'Milkaholic' Lawsuit

9/20/2010 3:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lindsay Lohan just milked E*Trade all the way to the bank -- and it's all over a Super Bowl commercial that may have insinuated Lohan is a "milkaholic."

TMZ has learned Lohan's $100 million lawsuit against E*Trade has been settled.

The terms of the settlement are confidential -- but we're told Lindsay's team is "very happy" with the results ... and sources say Lindsay got some cash out of it.

As we previously reported, Lindsay claimed the stock trading company violated her rights by featuring a baby character named Lindsay who happens to be the "milkaholic" other woman in a baby love triangle.

Lindsay's high-powered attorney Stephanie Ovadia tells TMZ, "The case between Lindsay and E*Trade has been settled ... there is no further comment."

E*Trade reps tell TMZ, "E*TRADE has always maintained that the claims were without merit, which is why we moved to dismiss the case. With the case now withdrawn, we are pleased to have the matter behind us."

Dina Lohan also weighed in, saying, "The family is pleased that the case has been settled."

I'm so sick of this coke head, I can't believe she got money for this BS lawsuit. I hope she goes to jail soon, but she will probably get special treatment as she always does.

Of course Dina says, "The family is pleased that the case is settled". This means that Dina can suck more money out of Lindsay. This means that Dina does not have to get a real job.

This is the most stupid thing I have ever read. This is what is wrong with our world. Greedy lawyers, ignorant celebs, that sue for no reason. And even worse, a fame hunting judge agrees with it! These people make me sick. Spilling "hot" coffee and suing was just the beginning of these senseless lawsuits. Now because a commercial uses a name that is like yours...............

Washington Post says that Lohan dropped the suit. Can't believe anything Dina says.

The only money she really got was in the form of getting her parking validated by her lawyer.
Do you really think she WON this law suit? Suckers!!!!

Yes, Dina and Lindsay can go do more drugs and alcohol together! Family time! How sweet? See daughter run back to mommy for protection and alcohol, drugs. Mother a fine example! lol! Daughter like mother or mother like daughter? A mother and daughter drinking, smoking, cracking, and maybe they can overdose together too?

As per #143:

Celebrity Beat: Lindsay Lohan -- who is preparing for a Friday court hearing in the wake of her failed drug test -- drops lawsuit against E-Trade for using the name Lindsay in their "milkaholic" Super Bowl commercial...

Over at
Although the court had issued a bench warrant for her arrest Monday, Lindsay Lohan's $100 million lawsuit over an E-Trade television commercial is all over, baby. A Manhattan court filing Monday said the actress has withdrawn her case against the brokerage, which she'd accused of making her the implied target of jokes about a "milkaholic" named Lindsay in a Super Bowl ad this year.

Once again TMZ get's it wrong.

A Manhattan court filing Monday said the actress has withdrawn her case against the brokerage, which she'd accused of making her the implied target of jokes about a "milkaholic" named Lindsay in a Super Bowl ad this year.

This is beyond rediculous. Next thing you know, someone else named "Lindsay" (or any variation thereof) will become a celebrity and Lohann will sue her because she'll be afraid that people won't know which one is being referred to in the media and she'll demand that the other one change her name to prevent possible confusion. It's preposterous. When I saw the commercial, Ms. Lohann was asolutely the LAST person I was thinking of. Only her "fans" were the ones who cried otherwise.
She doesn't OWN exclusive use of her first name. Do we even know if internal E*Trade do***ents (like the script) even spelled the baby's name the same? Ms. Lohann must've been desperate for cash.

I thought this was a joke the first time I heard about the law suit. They seriously got a settlement?? I think every woman named Lindsay on the planet ought to start a class action against E*trade citing this case. But, as always, who really profits from frivolous litigation is not the parties, but the law firms.

While this whole thing seems really stupid on the surface, I have to admit that I always assumed that ad WAS talking about Lilo, and thought it was pretty risky for this very reason-potential litigation. I can't see how it actually it harmed her; she should have laughed it off instead of pouncing on an opportunity to sue. She's going to have enough trouble getting work without being known for being litigious...
