Lindsay Lohan

Fails Drug Test

9/17/2010 5:37 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lindsay Lohan has failed a drug test in her criminal case ... TMZ has learned.

Lindsay Lohan Drug Test Results.
We're told the court-mandated drug test in question occurred last week.  According to the terms of Lindsay's probation, she will get 30 days in jail for a positive drug test.

One source connected with Lindsay tells TMZ ... "People with addiction problems don't get better magically, and she's really been making an effort to make herself better."

And D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons tells TMZ her office has not been "officially notified" of the test results and no court date has been set yet.

UPDATE:  Sources close to Lindsay tell us she is saying it's not true -- insisting she has not failed, but we have confirmed it is indeed true.

She was a child star that really didn't get much attention until she started acting up in this fashion, and that's been her act ever since. Her mother didn't help much when a few years back Mum went out on the town with her saying she was keeping an eye on Lindsay. Yeh right, dressed like the town whore and joining in on the parties. Her parents need some Re-hab also.

The funniest thing out of all this is...she did it to herself. Her career is all but gone and she can't really blame anybody else but her. What a terrible waste. How sad.

Yeah.. she’s trying SO hard to get better. I have the therapy she needs! Lock her up for 60 days and put a restraining order on her friends and parents – ESPECIALLY her mother – and maybe, just MAYBE she’ll have a chance. As long as she lets those remoras hang off of her and feed her drugs and alcohol, she’ll never get clean.

Ok, how can everyone make comments such as "She should have stayed in rehab for longer" Or "who didn't see that coming". Think about it ppl. They take drug addicts and then put them in a place (REHAB) with a bunch of other drug addicts then they pump you with other drugs to counter act the drugs you were on in the first place. Wouldn't that make you pretty depressed, i say. Well anyways, im basically saying that you put a man in prison he ends up coming out a real criminal. There is no such thing as rehabilitation with such institutions.

Why is everyone being so nevative toward her? She isn't receiving special treatment anymore, and if she goes back to jail that will prove it (if she doesn't, well... ?!!!).
And those of you judging her, do you yourself have a drug problem? Have you ever? If not then shut the F up, because you are in no position to pass judgement. It IS difficult, and because she is being tested she is being forced to sober up which doesn't *always* work out. So get off your flipping high horses.

These things happens,....drugs are addictive and that's one thing that not everybody has fully understood. Ask any drug addicts, even tobacco users whether they have considered quitting it and how hard was it. I'm pretty sure, many of them would say it is very hard. Tapping on their shoulder and say "stop doing it" is not going to work. In my opinion, that's the hole in the legal justice system. They ought to focus on those who sells, grow, manufacture drugs rather than those who uses them. Assuming that if we are able to eliminate the drug supply, the users would no longer be able to use drugs.

Ask yourself a question, how difficult would it be for any smokers to buy and smoke cigarettes if the tobacco were removed from the store shelves. this goes the same thing for alcohol,,where the DWI would have significantly reduced to nearly zero cases if the alcohol ere eliminated like during the prohibition era. Thus, making our roadways much more safer for everybody
