Paris Hilton Pleads Guilty in Cocaine Case

9/20/2010 11:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Paris Hilton just pled guilty to two misdemeanors in her Las Vegas cocaine possession case -- in a move that will keep her out of the slammer ... if she can stay out of trouble.

Paris just fessed up to misdemeanor drug possession and obstructing an officer -- and in exchange she must pay $2,000 in fines, complete 200 hours of community service and complete an "intensive" substance abuse program. She will also be on probation for one year.

The judge informed Paris that she has been given a one year suspended sentence -- which means if she is arrested for anything other than a minor traffic violation, she will spend 1 year behind bars.

The judge then warned Hilton, "The Clark County Detention Center is not the Waldorf Astoria."

Hilton was busted back on August 27 after cops found her in possession of less than a gram of cocaine.

This is unfair. She said it wasn't her purse. Why is everyone so hateful toward such a nice, smart person? It's just jealousy.

@ 69 Pat

Her grandfather sold the hotels and that reduced her inheritance from about 650 million down to about 65 million but she makes about 35 million each year from selling all the stuff she calls her brand so I doubt she will miss the inheritance very much. Paris was earning high 6 digit pay when she was 16-17 as a model and she is smart about business and money so my guess is that a lot of it stuck to her fingers.
She never talks about money she has said that she thinks that is tacky. People may hate her and her privileged life but to be fair, she is a smart business woman and is very rich from her own activity.

carp;

When she was in jail she said she was reformed. It will not happen this time either. A year is long time for a self indulged, irresponsible nit-wit to obey the laws or at least be smart enough to not get caught. With her money she could be doing something productive and/or helping others...however...

She had better realize this is her LAST chance or go to jail for a year. Honestly-I am not sure she is understanding this fact.

who's the judge, lets see his face so we know who got paid off for giving her a free ride again. How about her bf, is he going to get a free ride also. No body checks into special treatment from the judge.

So first she denied the drugs were hers and now she says they were? Big fat liar. I wonder if the average joe would have gotten her same sentence.
