Advice for Paris Hilton:

1. Do not associate with Cy Waits anymore as this man has many demons that will not only bring him down but you as well.
2. Cocaine is simply one of those 'demon drugs' that may eventually destroy you... moderate usage of marijuana on the other hand can be very healthy for both mind and spirit.
3. Get familiar with Mazdaism and the teachings of Zoroaster as this ancient religion is about to make a profound and stunning comeback in this increasingly wicked and diabolical world that we all live in.
4. Always have a bottle of maple syrup on hand... this is one of Mother Natures purest forms of joy and eternal bliss!!

The Nevada gambling industry is way down because of the economy and a lot of people are concerned that what happens to Paris will weaken it further. The image of Nevada being brutal on minor drug offenses is the last thing they need.

She is on informal probation, no reporting, no drug tests, no travel restrictions, and she does not have to appear at a hearing at the end of the year of probation.

She will have to submit a receipt for the fine.

Submit a certificate or letter for the course. She can use one of the one on one certified courses and take it in her kitchen. Rich people can get this done for a price in a weekend.

The judge and prosecutor agreed that her normal fundraising events can be used for the community service so when she puts on a charity auction from her closet the hours setting it up count. She also can claim hours for helping others with this type events.

Forget her being jailed if she gets in trouble again, Nevada law mandates that she be given bail until she is convicted. If she is arrested outside Nevada she can not be extradited because her conviction is for a misdemeanor. No state will honor a request to extradite for a misdemeanor and if it is pushed the process can take years. The unenforceable warrant for her extradition dies after 10 years under Nevada law.

For Paris the worse case is that she will have to stay out of Nevada for 10 years.

Basically they kissed her ass but not because of her money, rather the publicity she drew made it impossible to give her any jail time.

Well now... good to see that she's following through on that commitment to turn over a new leaf and spend more quality time at home. Hmmmm... two arrests in a very short time frame, both followed by statements of remorse and promises of new direction and both followed by an immediate return to the party life. I'm amazed.... this girl is every bit the alchoholic, drug abuser that Lindsay Lohan is and yet law enforcement continues to treat her like a favored child. Her grandfather must be rolling in his grave. Damn girl, you have been blessed with soooo much... yet what have you contributed to society??? Do you realize what an arrogant, disgusting, privleged, bubble head you are??? Why not get a grip and find some direction???

Linds must have started to think she was in the Paris Hilton category..who will never have money problems. I do think it's only a matter of time before she goes to jail...she may die there....the first shall be last, and the last shall be first...karma...

It is such extreme way with children that have grown up with rich parents or any other upbringing to the same. What needs to be done is to extradite her to a Peace Corp place for training. She will appreciate over time on how hard it is for some people in the World to survive. After 1 year with no cameras showing farming stories let her come back knowing such realities. Can the courts send international community services in this case?

#94 Rene, you have a good point. A poor black with a public defender would not be on a plane to Japan right now like Paris is. More likely they would be in jail for drug posession.

OMG, look at that nose!!! "It" is growing like Pinocchio's nose and we all know why his grew!!! The positive is that she won't have to bend over as far, the longer it grows. And we won't have as many opportunities to see that crotch that is used by so many like a New York sewer!

Thee is two different kind of justice in this country, one for the rich and one for the poor. When a poor person goes to jail the justice system says " the system works " but for the rich person it does not count

Write a check for the fine, pay a lackey to do the community service, another to get her rehab paperwork 'completed', quick stop at the dealer's to replenish her stash, and she's off!

Not that laws apply to celebs, but I thought a person on probation wasn't supposed to leave the state, let alone the country? Let me guess, she's traveling for "work".

Paris is going to Japan to party and do drugs until she pass out in wee morning hours and she will probably skip most her community service she say she was going to do.

It's sad to say, but I believe the judge and DA received some measure of enumeration for this "sentence". Paris should not be treated any different than anyone else. Why should it be if a person is famous, for whatever reason, that the laws have to be side-stepped? If that is the case, then we don't need laws.

@justsaying It has nothing to do with color and everything to do with money. Black people with money get off too.
