Lindsay Lohan

Will Bail Out of Jail

9/24/2010 9:45 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

UPDATE 10:10PM PDT: TMZ has learned that Lindsay's favorite bondsman has posted her bail. She can now leave the Lynwood jail as soon as she can get a ride.

UPDATE 6:02PM PDT: Lindsay will have to get a SCRAM bracelet (this will be her third) within 24 hours -- and under the terms of her bail, she is not allowed to be around known drug users ... and must submit to search by law enforcement at any time.  Also, nightclubs will be a major no-no ... Linds has to stay out of places where alcohol is the "chief item of sale."

Lindsay Lohan
will be a free woman soon, because a judge has just reversed Judge Elden Fox's decision and has granted LiLo bail ... TMZ has learned.

0924_eldon_fox_lindsay_lohane_ex_tmz
Judge Fox ruled earlier today ... Lindsay could be held without bail.  But apparently the Judge's ruling flies in the face of California law, which gives defendants the right to bail in misdemeanor cases.

Judge Patricia Schnegg, Assistant Supervising Judge for the L.A. County Criminal Courts, just threw Judge Fox's bail decision out the window.  Judge Schnegg has set bail at $300,000.

Lindsay, who is in Lynwood Jail right now, should get out soon ... probably in a few hours.

Too bad for Lindsay - she would be better off in jail for now, she's not ready for rehab yet but needs a time out. Plus now she'll be out another $30,000 (the bail bondsman's fee). That's added to the $20,000 fee she already forked over for the $200,000 bond the last time. Plus all those lawyer fees...

Anybody else with the same record and on probation for the same reasons who violated probation the same way would be sitting in jail right now. Her problem is that she (or her mother) thinks she has the money to burn on lawyer fees and bail bondsmen, instead of just quietly doing the time and getting out from under the legal radar sooner.

If she's smart, though, she will immediately check into a residential rehab rather than trying to go it alone until her hearing. She needs the supervision and distance from her usual crowd.

As far as I'm concerned...she's dead to me. I will never pay to see anything she does or pay into anything that will fund her drug habit.

Good luck with that career. As for the Linda Lovelace movie, you won't get a dime from me nor will anything you endorse, appear on the cover of or show up at. Lindsay, you are dead to me!! Now, go die!

Wow! I am so confused. What a crazy day! What a ton of pageviews for TMZ!

PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT hand Michael Lohan a microphone. I'd rather hear from the funny guy with the yellow hat, Jake Byrd. I will be watching Jimmy Kimmel tonight just to get his personal opinion of the events today....hysterical!

Wow..isn't Lindsay a great role model for American youth? How many times can she break the law and get away with it? The girl definitely is narcissistic and thinks rules and laws don't apply to her...she's special she's a celebrity. Here she is getting all this free press and making our judicial system look ridiculous!

I don't think anyone should go to jail for being addicted to drugs. But, so long as the law is what it is, it should be applied evenly to everyone. Lindsay's case is even worse because it all stemmed from her being behind the wheel while high on Coke, which could have hurt/killed someone else, making her a danger to society.

So long as the law is what it is, she belongs in jail.

So much for being prepared to take "responsibility for my actions" and being "prepared to face the consequences."

I don't know why everyone is so surprised that she's getting sprung from jail in the next few hours. Remember, Lindsay is a CELEBRITY. There's the law that applies to you and me, and there's the law (or lack of) that applies to CELEBRITIES and the filthy rich. Yes, Lidsay has flipped the bird to us all AGAIN. So just accept the fact that she can get away with anything she wants, and does not have to suffer the consequences.

I hope the judge throws the whole book when he sentences her for probation violation.
