NBA Coach -- Is That a Swastika in Your Tie???

10/1/2010 8:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Now we're in no way implying that Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott is a Nazi ... but, the tie he decided to wear for his team's media day ... well, let's just say, it went out of style in the mid-40's.

A swastika goes the other way. THAT is nothing more than a design on his tie. Don't you do even a little research?

That's a VERY bad fashion oversight...

Though I hardly believe that even if he had anti Semitic sentiments that his tie would be his choice expression.

The GoodWill should be expecting a certain donation from Mr.Scott any day now.

There is a number of reasons why he maybe wearing that tie. He may have been given a tie at the last minute and it was tied quickly for him. That may not have happened but it remains a possiblity. And this is somebodies Idea of sending a message and using his ignorant azz to it. That sign belongs to the Hindu Religion before it was taken as a sign we all know is for Hitler. The Hindu's see it as a sign of peace. Do the research.... Or he is a Boule.

It is not a Swastika. As #55 has stated the Germans just used the symbol but in their own way. If it is not within a white circle inside a red box, then it is not a German Nazi swastika. Swastikas are a sign of peace and good luck in many religions but they are not presented as the German Nazi symbol is.

I am sure it was not intentional but that can be nothing else but a swastika.

whatever

@Walter - Wow! What an idiot you are. Swastika is a Sanskrit word and it means wisdom or prosperity (general goodness)in the Indo-Aryan civilization. Hitler stole it from India and changed its meaning and made it evil. In case you are wondering what Sanskrit is - It is the oldest or one of the oldest languages and is the mother of all languages.

I wonder if you heard about Swastika somewhere about it belonging to Indians and just assumed that it belongs to Indians/Native Americans. That is so stupid.

The swastika was sacred to the Navajo long before the Nazis started to use it.

Whatever, the swastika has only recently been associated with Nazis, it's been a symbol in Native American culture and Buddhism for much, much longer!!

Probably not intentional on his part.

Common Sense

The Swastika is over 3000 years old and was designed to go each direction, not just one.
Yes it was used by the Nazi Party from Germany, who also brought the Autobahn, Volkswagen, the jet engine and other good things. No I am not a Nazi, skinhead or other bad person
