NBA Coach -- Is That a Swastika in Your Tie???

10/1/2010 8:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Now we're in no way implying that Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott is a Nazi ... but, the tie he decided to wear for his team's media day ... well, let's just say, it went out of style in the mid-40's.

First of all, some stupid people heard that Swastika is part of Indian culture(Hinduism) and they are mistaking it for Navajo/Native American/American Indian culture. It does not belong to Navajo or Native American of American Indian culture. It originated in India and belongs to Hinduism and Buddhism.

And other people that are saying that swastika used by Hitler is different because he tilted it or whatever are wrong too. He might have changed the direction of the symbol but he didn't even try to change the name "Swastika" itself. If he altered the symbol and gave it a different name then you can say it is different than the original. The word "swastika" itself is a Sanskrit word for prosperity.

It couldn't possibly be a swastika tie because black people are never prejudiced! Only the white crackers are hate mongers! It is time to stop pandering and sucking the toes of every black that walks the face of the earth.

tHE QUESTION ISN'T WHO IS WEARING THE TIE, BUT RATHER WHO DESIGNED IT.

I went to visit one of my friends from India at home and noticed the shrine in her kitchen has a swastika in it. The next time I visit her at home I'm going to ask her about it and ask how she feels about it being used as a symbol of hate by some. Byron probably didn't even notice that in his tie :)

The Swastika is a very sacred native symbol dating back wayyyy further than Nazi Germany. I live in Canada and we have a very rich native history. In the Province of Ontario, in Canada there is even a city called Swastika, Ontario!!! Oh it's real just look it up.

Thanks

Leave it up to the media to create something over nothing. I HIGHLY doubt that tie was ment to look like that. It is a funky optical illusion tie..thats it. Stop making EVERYTHING into something negative..jeeeeezus!

Seriously justsaying, did you even graduate high school? First of all your grammar sucks so please learn correct English. This is the reason why most people look down upon people like you. I'm sure you aren't even a productive member of society. Second, Jews have every right to be upset about stuff like that, a huge number of their people/family/friends were wiped out. It's the same way black people are still upset about slavery. And I'm pretty sure it's not the white people that are so "sensitive"...

Yes, he specifically picked out this tie because he just LOVES the KKK and Hitler. Let's send him to Guantanamo!

Like I said. If the swastika is not in a white circle within a red box then it is NOT a Nazi Swastika. Get over it paranoid TMZ dramaqueens.

Whatever.

B.S.

That "Nazi" symbol was hijacked by the Nazis. In truth, it's a buddhist symbol.
