I rather enjoy the soothing sounds of Yoko's shrieking. Reminds me of a room full of cats getting castrated.

Rikwes-- no denying she had an impact on the Beatles. Too bad it wasn't positive.

Also nice that she sold personal keepsakes of John's to his son. Classy.

For clarification: Yoko's influence can certainly be felt on The Beatles "White Album" -- she was a constant presence in the recording studio at the time, and joined at the hip with John arguably more so than during any other period of their relationship. Yoko had no input into the recording of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". This is George Harrison's song entirely, save for guest guitarist Eric Clapton's solo. Yoko had nothing to do with the song's development.

Yoko did not break up The Beatles.

@36 She was present throughout the entire recording sessions for white album ( much to the chagrin of the other 3 Beatles I might add ) . In hindsight her influence was bigger than thought at the time ( even sir Paul McCartney says so ) . In those days you had a much smaller circle of musicians/artists which defined the "arts " . So it was only natural they influenced each other far more than would now be the case . For example : Beatles were present at Rolling Stones "events " and vice versa ( Mick Jagger can be seen in the video for All you Need is love for example ) . Yoko Ono was very much part of that scene in the late 60's .

As far as I know there was a brief break-up during the early part of 1970 ( what John later referred to as the "lost weekend " ) but for the rest of his life she was his muse. Just like Linda was Paul's muse for the better part of his life.

That's not when they met. Sean Lennon posted a pic of Gaga playing John's piano months ago. With a caption like "At mom's while listening to gaga play"

By the way: whatever happened with Julian lennon?? I remember him making an album while back ( with the hitsingle "too late for goodbyes " ) but haven't really heard anything from him since. There must be other Beatles kids active in music too ( Zak,son of Ringo was a drummer) .

yoKo ono was ugly and talentless 40 years ago; no change. CBS Sunday Morning, this morning interviewed Julian Lennon, Sean Lennon, YoKo Ono and Cynthia Lennon, the two guys are close now and love and respect one another. But Julian Lennon spoke of the bitter monetarily value of his settlement on John Lennon's estate. That just shows what kind of a woman Yogo Ono is, what a shame. Julian is John's first born! How could she hold back money from him!
ps what did john lennon ever see in her; she broke up the beatles and tried to sing with john, what a joke that was!

Maybe Yoko will sing for GaGa. Funniest thing I ever saw was Ono screeching what she thought was music into some sort of large horn(?) Earlier posts are hilarious.

@ Rickwes

I've got Julian's "Valotte" album, released in the 80s. It's a decent record, particularly the title track. He released a follow-up album, if I'm not mistaken, but it didn't go anywhere. His music career pretty much stalled afterwards. I actually enjoyed Sean's first solo album as well, but that's all of his music that I've ever heard. Paul's son, James, has just released his first solo album.

@46 Been reading up on the beatles kids and by far the most successful -in music that is,we all know Stella McCartney - isn't a Lennon or McCartney but Dhani Harrison . He is the driving force behind the "Rock Band": the Beatles " venture . He also finished his dad's final album and performed with former Beatles and other famous artists.

Another quite successful guy is Zak Starkey -son of Ringo and also a drummer - who has also performed with well known folks ,amongst whom Oasis. Ringo was also the first Beatle to become granddad by the way .Zak's daughter was born in 1985.I don't know if she's active in music though.

If you want to see something really creepy, google for image of Dhani Harrison .He looks EXACTLY like his dad ...

Beatle-kids all know eachother,by the way .
