Lisa Rinna Learns She's Been Burgled ... on Live TV

10/5/2010 1:02 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin just interrupted their live interview on "Today" to take a phone call on the air ... from someone who informed them that their L.A. clothing store had just been burglarized.

Lisa Rinna
The couple had just begun to promote their books and reality show -- when Harry received a call on his cell phone about the burglary at the Belle Gray boutique in Sherman Oaks, Ca.

Harry was visibly P.O.'d when he learned the bad guys took "piles from the first two racks."

Hamlin informed Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb that no one had been injured ... but he clearly wasn't happy with his alarm company.

UPDATE: The alarm company -- ADT Security Services -- has responded to Hamlin's criticism of their work ... claiming operators took "appropriate action" after the incident and had notified cops within 2 minutes of the break-in.

ADT also claims they have a guard service available -- but Hamlin and Rinna don't pay for that level of protection.

This Is The Facts

The store is very over priced and the customer service is lacking.
There are better shops on Ventura Blvd. to go to.

you have to know that actors are not necessarily the smartest people, most of them are not well-educated and they live on a different planet. they probably think that this staged scene is entirely believable.

Seriously they are pathetic - doing this for fame and money. I doubt they were robbed and even if they were, their reaction was soooo wrong.

Picking up your cell phone during a live interview sounds odd to me.

VERY fake. Pretty sad when actors have to do something like this. I guess their acting isn't very good to many people and thats why they don't have jobs.

Apparently none of you d-bags have anything worth protecting so no clue as to how security related calls work? He probably got a 911 incoming call from his security people. That said, it could be fake.

In any case, you're still a bunch of d bags.

Their boutique on Ventura Bl. is about the size of a one car garage. The robbers could have taken everything if they had an Austin mini cooper.

that was a ridiculous plug for a reality tv show. How many times did Lisa say "this is our life, this is our show?" Come on.

This is highly suspicious. Who will be in the right mind to leave the cell phone on while doing a live TV show, and it's the Today Show!

I call total BS on this...lame effort to get viewers to watch their new show. I would have to be taped to a chair with someone forcing me at gunpoint before I would watch them! She's gross looking and he's just so gay...ack! Make it stop! LOL
