Oksana's New Lawyer -- Lucky Number 40

10/18/2010 1:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Oksana Grigorieva showed up to court this morning for a hearing in her child support case with Mel Gibson -- and wouldn't you know it ... she has a new lawyer!

1018_oksana_lawyer_EX_Getty_01
The new man in Oksana's life is Mitchell Jacobs -- a family law attorney who has been a Board Certified Family Law Specialist since 1986.

We're told Jacobs was brought in because today's hearing involves a certain technicality and they reached out to Jacobs because he's a family law specialist.

Sources say it is unclear whether Jacobs will remain on full-time.

1018_grigorieva_tmz_small_vAs we first reported, Oksana has used 39 different lawyers so far in her child support case with Mel Gibson. The latest point of contention -- whether the judge's ruling that Mel has to amp up his child support payments to $20,000/month includes the housing payments Mel has been making.

As the old saying goes, 40th time is a charm.

Get a job Oksana, pay for your own darn attorney and buy your own home, get out of Mel's!

Oksy hasn't had a real job since she was in High School, living off of the kindness of older men pays better.

If she had to pay for her own attorneys, she certainly would never have snagged Horowitz, he's all about money.

The day the court stops giving her an unlimited legal budget is the day she fires everybody but Horowitz. She won't have to fire him, he'll quit the moment the first check bounces.

They may be having trouble finding a family law attorney willing to commit to working for her. This guy may be doing someone a favor by stepping in on this one ruling but not willing to go any further. Thus the reason for it being unclear if he will remain on the case full time.

They should call a press conference for the good people of California, so they may see what's really going on with this case. Forty-one Lawyers, this publicist, that one, bodyguards that are criminal, extortion...people have a right to ask why their legal system is tied up like this by an illegal alien.

Here is this attorney's own firm's page devoted to DV.

LOOK AT THIS TOP LINE! Read the whole page. It is VERY GOOD.

This case will be going on forever. It's a joke for many of us who sit and wonder what the judicial system really is all about.

Politics, if you want the absolute truth, it's all about politics. In case you haven't noticed there is an election in November and there is no way anyone decides this case until that election is a distant memory. I'm guessing mid to late January, best case scenario.

If they want to, they can push this thing back towards the end of 2011, if it services their needs politically, believe it or not. Just ask any of the attorneys posting up here, they know how it works.

i think this is the first time ive posted on one of these threadds but ive been following this case and it is exhausting watching this soap opera. ya know the whole takes 5 weeks to get through one or two days lol. this woman, if u can call her that, needs to be shown the door to the US and kicked back to Russia or the more popular opinion of the Ukraine. btw i love the lists u guys make. i cant believe that one person can make up that much crap.

@ V ...

I especially like the first two paragraphs.

' Immediately call 911 '

and

' Name calling and cruelty is not considered abuse on their own'

and lower down

'Unfortunately domestic violence is often alleged to obtain an advantage in a custody or support dispute '

Domestic Violence If you are the victim of domestic violence, immediately call 911. Police Departments take domestic violence very seriously. If you believe you are the victim of domestic violence you should strongly consider filing an application for a domestic violence restraining order. There are two preliminary determinations that must be made before filing for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order: (1) is there a domestic relationship between the victim and the perpetrator, and (2) did the victim suffer abuse? A domestic relationship is essentially any familial relationship or any romantic relationship. A victim has suffered abuse if they have been physically attacked, verbally threatened with violence, physically threatened, repeatedly harassed, stalked, or sexually abused. Name-calling or cruelty is generally not considered abuse on their own. Restraining orders are not automatic, and the length and scope of protection is within the Court’s sole discretion. At the trial you must prove to a judge that domestic violence occurred and that you should be protected as a result. This requires the presentation of evidence to the judge, and possibly questioning witnesses and being cross-examined by you’re the perpetrator. Jacob Mitchell Law website.

Belinda, I'll be he wishes he could update that page from the courtroom this morning. I love it, nice find...

I also like the 25 year old picture, nice. I'll bet if they show a video of her walking out of court today, you won't even be able to recognize him from that picture.

Hey Kickaboo...nice to see his "client" followed the proper procedures. Oh, that's right, she made it all up so she couldn't follow them. Hmmm.
