Roseanne's Ex:

She Made Me Pay for Costco!

10/21/2010 9:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Roseanne Barr makes $300,000 per month ... and she won't even honor her promise to fly her ex-hubby to Hawaii to visit their kid ... this according to new court documents obtained by TMZ.

1020_roseanne_barr_ben_thomas_EX_getty_2_tmz
Ben Thomas -- Rosie's former bodyguard/husband from 1995 to 2002 -- claims earlier this year, Roseanne decided she wanted to move to Hawaii with their 15-year-old son. Ben gave Rosie the right to move with their kid, and in exchange Rosie agreed to fly Ben and his new wife to Hawaii every month for 10 days on Rosie's dime.  The whole deal was reduced to writing.

Now, here's where it gets nasty ...

According to legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Barr canceled Ben's plane tickets just hours before his first flight ... then fired off an email to him saying, "I decided that I'm no longer interested in abiding by this ridiculous arrangement."

She continues, "You want to visit [our son]? Buy yourself a ticket, book a room ... See you in court."

Ben -- who claims his wealth "pales in comparison" to Roseanne's -- says he ultimately paid for his own 1st class tickets to Hawaii ... but to even out the cost, he "ate at inexpensive restaurants, rented a Dodge Charger, and filled up with gas at Costco."

Dude now wants a judge to force Roseanne to honor the deal and reimburse him for the trip -- including the Costco run.

a 10 day vacation a month is excessive....hes lucky she isnt asking him for child support....she pays for the kids and raises them too. you have to give a non custodial parent a 10 day vacation with spouse every month WHY???? what bull****.

So he thinks that his ex wife should pay for him and his new wife to have a first class 10 day vacation to Hawaii EVERY MONTH? Idiot!!!

OK let's look at this logically. Normal custody arrangements generally give the non-custodial parent every other weekend and one overnight (usually Wednesday during the week. That's 4 overnights and 4 full days of visitation (6 full days when three weekends fall within the same month. That adds up to 8-10 days per month that he would be entitled to see his son, which is number of days he is entitled to see his son in Hawaii per their agreement.

He gave her permission to move to Hawaii provided she pay the airfare and she agreed to it. She needs to woman up and abide by their agreement.

It does not say they went through the court with the agreement. It could have been just between them. But what a stupid thing to even agree to this. EVERY MONTH? I suppose the guy nor his wife doesn't work. LOL I could see on holidays, birthday, summer, but NOT every month. That is ridiculous.

I know no one really cares, but the man probably does not pay a dime of child support, I think he should at least pay his own way to visit his kid. Another Dead beat dad.

Ok wait... he needs her to pay him back because he had to pay for his own 1st class tickets to Hawaii? And he wants her to pay for him to have monthly 10 day Hawaiian vacations with first class accomondations? What kind of job does he have where he can take off 10 days monthly? If he feels that he is spending too much to pay his own way then he needs to rethink that stupid plan too! I personally cant see any judge willing to uphold this one... It's too stupid. The question will be however... whether or not it is in writing!

If she made a deal, she needs to stand by it. Does she realize she is teaching her son to lie? Take her to court, man.

Yeah, take her to court. So she can teach her son to negotiate a more favorable deal; it's the American way. That is NOT lying! Or teaching one's kid to lie! It's business, and people always ****er about business.

Also, this is no "man." He probably doesn't even pay child support, probably expects spousal support, and then has the gall to expect his ex to pay for his current spouse's plane ticket. I don't blame Rosie for wanting to re-negotiate the deal. She probably signed it quickly, her mistake, but I don't blame her one bit for wanting to re-think the whole thing, and I think she has a chance in court. Go Rosie!

She agreed to fly him out once a month/first class with his wife? First of all who can take off work 10 days per month. Secondly he makes pennies in comparison with her income, so when he books his flight on his dime, he flies first class? First class to Hawaii depending on where you are flying from could be more than 5k. What a freakin idiot.

I had sympathy for him until the "he bought his own 1st class ticket" part. Yeah, Hawaii is kind of a long flight. But I've flown from the East Coast all the way to SE Asia many times... a MUCH longer flight (over 24 hours) and done it in coach each time and was just fine. So his claims of poverty are questionable.

That being said, I'm sure Rosanne has more money and if she signed that agreement she should abide by it.

No where did it say their agreement was legal. He gave her permission to move and they signed a ridiculously one-sided agreement that benefits only him and his wife.

10 days every month? Why doesn't the guy just move to Hawaii? What sort of job can he/his wife possibly have that allows them that much travel time?

He needs to have the court make her bring the child back here so he can have a relationship with the kid. He should seek custody of him. Roseanne is nothing but a loud big mouth jackass and I hope someone shut's her loud mouth up for a change. She will pay off the court and Judge and get her way like all the hollyweirdo trash does.
