And? I'm not a judge with him on trial. I despise Team-Mel more than I actually dislike Mel Gibson.

Tyson is a crazy boxer. Brock Lesnar said some really crazy things in his fight with Frank Mir, did you watch that one? He pulled a Tyson at the end there and went nuts. He still seems like a pretty down to earth guy in his interviews. Get my drift? They may act like they are nuts sometimes, but that doesn't mean they should be ostracized.

As for Mel, he just offended the wrong people. The same goes for Rush Limbaugh when he was prevented from buying that basketball team. Yea I'm sure some other people would have been accepted that would have made equally insensitive remarks, but if you offend the wrong people don't expect them to work with you.

I don't think Mel should be banned from acting. But if people don't want to work with him, that's perfectly their right. That's all I was saying.

And look at YOU. You have been stoutly defending Mel despite his racist rants, his explosive rants against Oksana, his cheating on her while she was pregnant and POSSIBLY domestic violence. And yet you defend him like he's a saint, while tearing down Oksana.

Yes she's not perfect either, but if you were consistent about it you would dislike them BOTH.

You are making an argument here about people not being "consistent" for liking Tyson and not Mel Gibson, and yet you are just as inconsistent.

I never said Gibsons rants were worse than or equal to rape. You are putting words into my mouth.

If Tyson had been convicted of rape months before the movie shoot, it would have been extremely bad taste to play him. But it was years ago and he served his time.

My point was if you offend someone, he has every right to not want to work with you. And you can offend someone even though you said nothing to him personally (racist rants offend some people). That's why they had every right to drop Gibson in this movie.

Boy , you have the wrong slant on things...no I would not have went to the Mag rags, I would have went to the police. I would not have taped him in the first place. I would have never taken those tapes and had them edited so I could ruin that person's life. People who are abused dont act like that , Oksana was never abused...this is about how much money she thinks she will get and using her baby to do it. It is also about destroying Mel for not being in love with her, her ego cant stand for that. So go ahead believe her , help her destroy a good man's life, and when she is finished she will move on and do the same to someone else.

It's an animalistic thing to do, yes. I don't condone it. I don't condone rape either. He was a thug. But if you don't think the setting matters, you are insane. Someone biting someone's ear in a heated boxing match is nowhere the same as attacking someone at random or because you hate them.

Anyway I don't disagree that Tyson has done bad things in the past. But again he served his time, and it was years ago. And he seems like a changed man now if you have watched any recent interview with him. That's what I was referring to when I called him a cool cat, he seemed like that in his recent interviews. That's not condoning rape or equating it with racist rants, that's simply saying my perception of him NOW is that he's cool. I will never look at him as a perfect "decent man" due to his rape conviction, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't shoot a movie with him.
