Family Friend

To anyone before me and anyone after me who lower themselves SO LOW as to poke fun at this horrible family tragedy, I pity you. The Hug family and mine have been a close one for over two decades. Julien's parents, Bertrand and Denise, have lost THE most important thing in their lives, their only child! Having closely watched Julien grow up I am qualified to say to all of you, he was what every parent hopes and dreams to have in a child. To those of you who get-off on seizing the moment to display your idiocy and insensitivity, I challenge you to dig deep (for once) and ask, "What if this were my son?" So how 'bout we all take a break from the typical TMZ-type celebrity bashing and limit comments to the support and prayers Bertrand and Denise Hug desperately need at this so-tragic moment in their lives. With appreciation........

I knew this guy. He's not a cartoon character on TV. I worked in his fathers restaurant a long time ago when Julien was a teen. He was good kid, and his family are good people. My deepest sympathies to Bertrand and Denise. Its a sad day in the Ranch

Wow---most of you are really sick people. You sound like a bunch of 3rd graders in desperate need of attention, trying to "out-do" everyone else with hateful, stupid comments. Grow up. I went to school with Julien and live here in San Diego...he was known to be a very down to earth, good hearted person. It's heart breaking he died so young. The cir***stances sound almost like murder...so strange. I hope it wasn't anything like that, but dang-have some respect and grow up, guys. All my respect to Julien's family-may you find some answers soon and find solace in knowing Julien left such a good imprint on this earth.

I'm sorry it is sad and I do agree with Family Friend, but TiffC did make me chuckle. I'm really scared of death myself and of course if you actually know the person it will affect you much more and I am sorry for your loss, but try not to take it all so seriously death is just around the corner for us all.

Please stop all the stupid and insensitive comments. This man's death has devastated his family. He was loved and doesn't deserve these hurtful comments. My heart goes out to his family.

These are some of the most disrespectful comments I have read in a long time. What an awful thing to have happened to such a young man. I don't know him nor do I know his family - but I send my sympathies to his parents, family and friends.Grow up people - show a little compassion. Thank you.

I know it has been said, but I just feel the need to repeat that it is extremely disrespectful to make a joke about someone's death. It would be nice if these people would consider how it would feel if it were their family member or loved one.

It is a very beautiful place to hike. I hope it was just an accident and not something criminal, carjacking or some such thing. There is no information on the whereabouts of his car at this time.

My heart goes out to his family and friends for the death of a such a beautiful Southern California boy so young. and successful. Just a tragedy.

I second that #15. Harvey you need an editor of these posts and I volunteer for the job. Available immediately. ;/

Young or old, whoever leaves these posts is just sick, disrespectful to the injured, hurt or dead, and I pray that someday you do not loose someone close to you and have to go through the pain and grief this young mans family and friends are going though at this time.

A 50 yr old grandma.
